Beautiful rural setting

My sister, her husband, my mum and myself had the pleasure of staying at Cro Bique for seven night in April 2013. After arriving by car from Bordeaux, we were greeted by Gabriella and Ofer. On showing us around the house, I noticed the bedrooms had been configured for two couples. I advised the owners we actually required 1 double and 2 singles. Instantly, Gabriella was at work making up one of the beds in the third bedroom.

The kitchen downstairs was already stocked with the basics- bread,milk,sugar,eggs,butter- and also a bottle of red wine-a very nice gesture. We fully expected to buy everything we would need.

The house was perfect for our week's stay.It is in a great location within walking distance of the little town, the castle and the Dordogne River. One of the bedrooms has a great view across to neighbouring farms whilst another has a view to the castle through the woods. it is a great base for a motoring holiday in the Dordogne.

The house is beautifully furnished and kept in immaculate condition. The kitchen is very well equipped. There was plenty of space to hang or store clothing. The bedrooms were big enough to store all our luggage without crowding ( we were on a ten week holiday in Europe, hence we had a lot of luggage). There was always hot water for our showers and laundry.

It would have been nice to have used the front verandah a little more, but, alas the weather was not the warmest during our stay. On the one afternoon we did manage to have a few drinks and nibbles outside, it was very pleasant to look out over the surrounding landscape.
