this is a lovely house, exactly like the photos. very comfortable and a lovely place to stay. the garden was very secure for our dog and the pool was an added bonus.
I thoroughly recommend Le Pressoir.

Had a lovely holiday for almost 3 weeks. The complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. A beautiful location, very quiet except for the frog chorus from the pond which we loved! Large enclosed garden which was great for our dog. The small pool looked inviting but we didn’t quite get the weather. Less than 10 drive to Duras which has shops, restaurants and cafes and a carrefour contact supermarket which stocks everything you need. The location of the gite meant we could visit the wonderful bastide towns, including Bergerac, Villereal, Issigeac, Monpazier and even further afield to Domme. A good place to stay for a visit to the Dordogne.

Our stay was just perfect and I would highly recommend this place to everyone! the gite has everything you need, the garden is perfect - especially for the dog as it is completely fenced. And the location between the vineyards is perfect for hiking / cycling/ mountainbiken. Thank you very much Jonathan & Lesley!

This Gite is surrounded by vineyards in complete peace and tranquility. There is everything there you could need to have a home from home. There is a Carrefour within a 10 minute drive that is well stocked with anything you could want. The Gite itself is spacious with a very good shower and comfortable bed (2 things that help with a good stay!) and the private garden is just lovely with an array of beautiful birds and little lizards that sit and watch you having breakfast. There are also a couple of lovely horses in a field nearby who we said hello to every day. The communication from Jonathan about check in and check out was perfect. Thank you so much!

We had a lovely stay. Jonathan and Lesley were very welcoming and gave some good tips of vineyards to visit for tastings. The gite is tastfully and comfortably decorated, and the garden is all you wish for when looking for a place to relax and enjoy the French sun!

Excellent place to rest. Everything works.
The welcome wine, the excellent conversation and the super friendly dog Marcel were perfect.

Super place ,v comfortable , all mod cons. Pleasant British owners who were extremely helpful re places to go , where to shop etc. When we arrived , there was wine in the fridge , and Johnathon the owner on hand to explain everything.

A week was not really long enough to explore the area , and taste the wines , but we managed. All in all ,wouldn't hesitate in recomending the cottage to anyone who enjoys wine and a little bit of peace and quiet

We've been here 4 days so far and so just 3 days left :-(. We wanted peace, relaxation and beautiful surroundings and we've got the lot!!

The cottage is beautiful and totally private, exactly how it looks on the website ie:- no clever photography! As for the bed:- I always fear it will be like a trampoline and that I will be woken up every time by my giant of a husband when he decides to turn over ( at least giant compared to me) but thankfully the bed is perfect.

All we can hear is the rustling of the trees and the odd car pass every couple of hours. Around Saint Emilion the scenery is exceptionally beautiful..after visiting the region around Sarlat 2 years previous we didn't think the landscapes could be beaten but be assured they can.

We have tasted Jonathan's quality red and white wine so far, just need to sample the rose ..looking forward to that:-)))).

I know once we are back in grey old England I'll never get around to writing this review, therefore while we are having a day of from all the chateaus and medieval villages and just enjoying the cottage, this is my review. Enjoy!!

We have just returned from a weeks stay in this wonderful gite. It is the nicest we have ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a few). Very spacious for a couple, though it could sleep a small family as there are also sofa beds. Beautifully renovated, very clean and well equipped, rangemaster oven, gas bbq, WiFi and even uk tv (if that's your thing). Beautiful bedroom area in a boutique hotel meets romantic French shabby chic style, large and really comfortable bed. Small plunge pool perfect for cooling down when sunbathing, sunny terrace and garden. Jonathan and Lesley were perfect hosts unobtrusive but there if you needed them. The gite is situated on a vineyard set back on a quiet country lane in the beautiful French countryside, great for cycling and dog walking. Duras is a short drive and has some nice restaurants, boulangeries, markets etc. We are already planning a return trip to this lovely holiday getaway.
