A wonderful gite with all you could ask for. Paul and Dee were wonderful hosts who always offered to go the extra mile to ensure that the holiday was memorable and that every need was met. Nothing was too much trouble. At the same time, our privacy was ours - totally unobtrusive, but there for any handy tips or questions. The environment was perfect - relaxing and quiet, great for nature, medieval villages and also in easy reach of city life. Pool is gorgeous and we are missing it already!

La Bidonne Gite is a fantastic base to explore the delights of the Dordogne area. Dee and Paul were great and knowledgeable hosts for our two week stay. Of course, the near 100% sunshine helped. We were able to have all our meals outside.

We had some wonderful trips to Bergerac, St Emillion, Lac de Gurson, Chateau Bridoire, Eymet, Issigeac, Duras and Village Bournat. In addition we went for a ride to Oradour-sur-Glane near Limoges to visit the memorial village.

The gite was immaculate with UK TV (if you want it), WiFi and a pool which we made good use of. Down the road is Montpon Menesterol which has all the facilities like supermarkets etc. I hired a bike to explore the endless back lanes, only really getting slightly lost once which added a few enjoyable kilometres to that day's ride.

We would without hesitation highly recommend this gite and holiday.

Many thanks to Dee and Paul for making us so welcome and for the home grown vegetables!

This is a really nice peaceful location with well equipped cottage in clean condition with a nice pool and excellent carp fishing in there own lake, the owners made us very welcome and could not do enough to make our stay successful.

We are planning to return in the future
