Superb Holiday Gite with Pool and Fishing Lake in Saint-Remy, Dordogne - La Bidonne Gite

This luxury self-catering gite is located in peaceful surroundings. There are stunning views and it is set in 14 acres with exclusive use of the swimming pool and private fishing lake. The tranquil setting at the end of a small lane makes it an ideal getaway for couples or a safe secure environment for families with children.

The gite is located at the end of a restored 200 year old farmhouse, making it private and fully self-contained with full oil fired central heating if required.

La Bidonne Gite Comprises:

A fully-fitted dining kitchen with cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, dining table and chairs.

A comfortable lounge with new sofa (which can be made into a 4ft sofa bed) and chairs, coffee-table and UK TV.

The bedrooms are as follows: There is a large double bedroom with double bed and a single bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables. Additional optional cot if required.
There is a single bedroom with single bed, bedside table and hanging cupboard. To sleep 4 guests, an additional single bed is necessary in the double bedroom. The single bedroom and bathroom are both directly off the main bedroom. There is a luxury family bathroom with shower cubical, toilet, bidet and washbasin.

Entertainment-wise, the property is equipped with UK television channels, a DVD player (no DVDs), books and games. Plenty to keep everyone entertained!

Directly outside the gite is a lovely shaded patio with table and chairs, BBQ.The private gardens are expansive and enclosed with a fully fenced private swimming pool  (11m x 4m) which is exclusively for guests. It enjoys full sun and is lit for evening swimming. Sunloungers, parasols and pool towels are provided.

We have created a private well stocked fishing lake of about 1 acre. There you will find a summer house with table and chairs, great for a picnic after woodland walks.

Surrounding Area
St. Remy is situated between the market towns of St. Foy La Grande and Montpon.  The property is surrounded by forests providing excellent walking, horse riding and cycling.
 
The Dordogne is famous for its' wine, climate and history and La Bidonne Gite is ideally situated to sample them all. The towns of Bergerac, Perigueux and the famous vineyards of St. Emilion are all within 30 minutes’ drive. Bordeaux with its beautiful architecture, great shops and restaurants is 50 minutes away.
 
There are lovely nearby lakes for swimming, beaches for relaxing, take river boat trips and visit chateaux and museums.  Shopping in the local markets is a must and there is one on each day in the different nearby towns
