A stay at Walnut Tree Gite has been a holiday without compromise
Basically, Tina and Graham have got it 100% right.
Beautiful location, great little towns near by, and
fabulous walks along the Blavett
The cottage, is loved, well presented and well equipped.
No compromise with the beds, they were the most comfortable, with good quality bedding and towels
We slept so well.
No compromise in the kitchen, again nicely presented, and fully equipped, with knives sharp enough to cut with, a first in 20 years of gite holidays, also plenty of tea towels, another first.
No compromise, or studying wordy instructions manuals, the dishwasher and washing machine had easily understood laminated instructions.
With two bathrooms and three toilets, no queues, or crossed legs.
No compromise in the garden, this a loved and well cared for garden, with different sunny spots, and seating areas, and of course the pool is a great addition, and something we used daily.
No compromise on the Gite's information booklet, it was well written, very informative, with information that you actually need, with personal recommendations about restaurants and places to visit
And finally Tina and Graham were warm, friendly, helpful and available, but never intrusive

We have just come back from the most fantastic week in Brittany at the Walnut Tree Gîte! Tina and Graeme were absolutely exceptional hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect - nothing was too much trouble.
It was our first trip abroad with our 6 month old daughter and it really was memorable for so many positive reasons. She absolutely loved exploring the beautiful gardens, meeting the friendly chickens and splashing in the pool!
The gîte was very well equipped with everything we could need, it was great for a holiday with little ones as they provided a travel cot and bedding/towels, high chair, stair gates, baby bath etc... Tina and Graeme really have thought of everything!
We were lucky enough to have a week of fantastic weather and made the most of it exploring the surrounding area and then coming back for a dip in the pool each day. The book of recommendations provided was top notch and hints and tips provided by Tina and Graeme were gratefully received... we had some delicious meals out, visited beautiful medieval towns and got some good trail running routes in too!
We can't wait to go back and visit the Walnut Tree Gîte again, hopefully we will bring our pup next time!

We were here in August 2023 for our holiday. Our stay here was fabulous. Graeme and Tina are fabulous hosts who have thought of everything. The welcome package on arrival of the beautiful flowers, fresh bread and butter. Local condiments and the welcomed wine. Being next door was reassuring and your hospitality is superb. We enjoyed exploring the beautiful sights Brittany had to offer and then come back to the beautiful gite that has all of the creature comforts and much more.
The decor and furnishings are tastefully chosen and you feel really relaxed at Walnut tree gite. One of the biggest highlights was the heated pool which we all benefited from. The garden is beautiful and such a relaxing place to sit and read too.
Cannot recommend Walnut Tree Gite enough. We look forward to visiting again in 2025.

Walnut tree Gite is the perfect Gite that you would dream of, it ticks all the boxes with a 5star rating.
This is our second visit and like the first time, we found the Gite to be spotlessly clean, very well
equipped and most comfortable.
Once again the welcome extras were much appreciated as was the kindness and helpfulness of our hosts.
Situated in a beautiful, tranquil, rural area, we enjoyed lovely forest and country walks along rivers and canals with our dogs Horice and Nelly, also a visit to sea this year, where we found a cove that was dog friendly, the views were stunning. Each day ended with a welcome swim in the swimming pool.
So much more to explore, we’re now looking forward to our third return visit, hopefully in 2025.

Well, what can I say, except WOW,WOW,WOW, on every level.
From meeting our hosts, to walking into & exploring the property. Luxury at it's best, from the fully equipt kitchen, to the exceptional quality of the towels & bed linen.
A very cosy, comfortable lounge with TV, freesat ( so English TV available), dvd player, selection of dvd's and a toy chest full of family games.
Beautifully appointed dining room, complete with " emergency" wine supply. Great touch.
The 2 double bedrooms, ( 1 en-suite), offer that touch of 5 star luxury and the 2 single bedrooms are perfect for kids/teens. There is even a shelf of books on the landing you can loose yourself in. There's a downstairs cloakroom & utility room. Absolutely everything has been thought of.
Outside continues that touch of luxury and relaxation. Secluded seating areas, great for reading. A patio area just right for outdoor entertaining, complete with gas BBQ. Then there's the fabulous, exceptionally well maintained, heated pool......my grandkids would have happily lived in there 🤣. Recliners are provided in the pool area and seperate pool towels are provided too. At the front of the Gite is an open barn that houses a full size table tennis table, badminton set, skipping ropes, hoola hoops, bowls and a dart board.
Along with the pool, the Gite provides a wealth of activities for all the family. For the gardeners amoungst us, the gardens are beautifully laid out with a wealth of flowers and plants, expertly chosen and tended. I really can't recommend this Gite enough. Can't wait to go back. Your hosts can also recommend places and restaurants worth visiting. Thanks to them, we visited some beautiful places and had some amazing meals out.

P.s Delicious Coffee & Walnut Cake

Spent two weeks there with my wife, her mother and our cockerpoo, Hector. Have stayed in gîtes annually for several years and so have a good feel for what makes a good stay.
The bottom line is this was pretty damn perfect for us.
The property is roomy, well equipped and done to a high standard. The owners (Tina and Graham) live next door and so all maintenance happens throughout the season: garden is kept beautiful and pool is cleaned twice a day.
Based on previous gite experiences, we arrived with a box of cleaning products, washing up liquid etc. This wasn’t necessary as all of this was provided. As was bedding, towels and pool towels.
Living room has tv which gets over 29 uk channels. Also lots of DVDs and books.
Gite is well located for trips and these are all outlined in the info book. I really recommend a full day doing the “western triangle but all the suggested excursions are fab.
I would advise you book early, bookings fill up pretty quickly. So what is the secret of this places success? It’s a great gite, for sure and all mod cons are there but the real pleasure is the unobtrusive support you have from Tina and Graham. I must admit I was a little wary about having the property owners living next door but with these guys, it was a real plus point. Sure they have a business to run but the bottom line is that they get that you are on holiday and want as little hassle as possible. It was easy for me to relax quickly. They genuinely care that you have a good time and do lots of very thoughtful things like leaving a welcome pack of gifts, home made chutney, cakes etc They sorted out booking a vet appointment for Hector prior to departure.
All of us had a great time and would return in a heartbeat.

We have had the most fabulous time made even more enjoyable by Graeme & Tina the hosts. You have created a wonderful holiday home form home, with all the comforts that you expect, the attention to detail is superb, the pool is wonderful and cleaned daily, there are so many lovely places to sit and relax in the garden, which is planted with so many beautiful plants. Our two weeks went far too quick, we wish you all the very best for the future, if you are ever in Suffolk be sure to look us up.
