Our tiny farm is beautifully situated in the peaceful hamlet of Trevenec close to Carnoët and La Vallée des Saints in Central Brittany. It has stunning views over the surrounding countryside and the Foret Dominiale de Freau. We have small flocks of Shetland and Lande de Bretagne Sheep which lamb in spring and early summer. The sheep provide a variety of natural coloured fleece for spinning into yarn. Our goats are pets and are very friendly; we also have free range hens which provide fresh "tasty" eggs for us and our guests.

A superbly restored and modernised stone Longère situated on our small farm in the heart of the stunning Brittany countryside. The ground floor features a large open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge. The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped with cooker, refrigeratorwith freezer compartment - (there is not a separate freezer), washing machine and microwave. The lounge has T.V with UK Freeview channels.Wifi installed (2019) Fair. Stairs lead up from the living area to a landing which provides access to Two double bedrooms and a modern bathroom and toilet. One bedroom has a double bed, the other twin beds. Both bedrooms have electric heating and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. All bedding and towels are provided. Outside there is an elevated patio which can be accessed by steps or a shallow ramp with patio furniture and a BBQ.

The Gite has 2 double bedrooms so can comfortably accommodate 4 people. There is also a possibility of an additional single bed in the bedroom with 2 single beds and a cot in the bedroom with the king size double bed.

In Aug 2014 Steve took early retirement and we decided to move abroad. Having spent much of our childhoods in the country we wanted to start a small farm with a few animals. Having enjoyed several holidays in Brittany we decided it would be a great place to live. We would like to share this with our guests and give them the opportunity to spend time in a truly peaceful and beautiful rural setting.

Brittany is an area of outstanding natural beauty with hardly any industry and very few cars. The most likely cause of a traffic jam is a farmer moving his cows down the road or a tractor. Our small farm is set in a tiny hamlet of a few houses surrounded by stunning scenery. In our area most people speak Bretagne a Celtic language as well as French. Bretagne culture is very Celtic in origin and they have their own bagpipes. The Bretagne people are very warm and friendly and we have fantastic neighbours

The surrounding countryside is perfect for walking and cycling. It is also a great central base for exploring Brittany. The coast is within easy reach and there a many old towns and historic sites to explore. There are also many local markets in the surrounding towns. We also have sheep, goats and free range chickens on our farm. Our ewes will lamb in late March through to early early June.

Special Rental Conditions

Holiday Price - your holiday is guaranteed for the agreed letting period, once a deposit of 25% of the total value has been received. The deposit is non-refundable and we strongly advise you to insure your holiday as soon as your booking is confirmed. The deposit is payable at the time of booking, with the final balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. We take secure payments by PayPal.

Check in - check out - Check in is normally after 4 pm on the day of arrival. If possible we will try to be flexible on arrival times but it is dependent on departing guests. Please advise us of the time you plan to arrive at least a day before you arrive. Check out on your day of departure will be before 12 noon, unless prior agreement.

Changeover days - Flexible Arrival and Departure days. Long weekend and weekend lets are available please request further information from the owners.

Breakage deposit - a breakage deposit of 150 Euros will need to be paid at arrival. We ask you to report any breakages or damage however minor to the owners immediately. Breakage deposit will be refunded on inspection of our property, at your departure less any monies for damage.

Sleeping capacity - Under no circumstance must the declared number of occupants be exceeded unless agreed in advance.

Care of the Gîte - we ask you to respect the property, its contents and all amenities provided. You are requested to dispose of all foodstuffs, recycling and rubbish on your departure and to leave the gîte in the same clean and tidy condition that you found it. We reserve the right to deduct a one off cleaning fee of 50 euros from your deposit to cover any exceptional cleaning requirements at the end of your stay. We ask you to take particular note of cleaning the hob, oven and BBQ before you leave in order to avoid an additional charge.

Electricity & water. - The cost of fair use of electricity and water is included.

Linen - all gîte linen (bed linen, towels and tea towels) is included in your rental charge. We ask that the gîte bathroom towels are not used outside.

BBQ - The gîte is equipped with a free standing BBQ. Please ensure it is cleaned thoroughly on your departure.

Code of conduct - we want our guests to enjoy a relaxing and enjoyable time. We therefore view antisocial behaviour very seriously, and in extreme circumstances we reserve the right to terminate bookings with immediate effect and without

Cancellation Charges:- if you cancel your booking the following charges apply:-
Within 2 weeks of arrival – 100% of invoice amount
Between 2 weeks and 4 weeks of arrival - 75% of invoice amount
Between 4 weeks and 6 weeks of arrival - 50% of invoice amount
More than 6 weeks before arrival - 25% deposit forfeited.
If we have to cancel your booking, any monies paid will be refunded in full.
