We would like to thank you both on such a wonderful two week holiday hiring your cottage. The cottage is well equipped with everything you possibly need whilst we have stayed here.

The cottage is well equipped for young children, but also older ones too, the storage area had a pool/snooker table and has plenty of chairs/tables for when sitting outside dinning.

The Garden, well what can I say, "it's beautiful" and again for children to run around to play hide and seek etc. Wildlife plenty, from usual insects grasshoppers etc, but also a friendly fox if could have, would have let us stroked him and of course was around most days/evenings for the scraps of meat.

The cottage a short distance from the town of Pontrieux, where there is a steam railway along with a pub called the " The Schnoor" along the river Trieux with amazing fish and chips all for €10 so worth a visit.

We would happily book again to stay at the Kermanguy cottage so thanks Gilly and Geoffrey.

We had a great week at Kermainguy. The setting is very peaceful and private and there is a very large, semi-wild garden full of birds and butterflies.. The house is comfortable and well-equipped and everything worked perfectly. We also very much appreciated the comfortable beds and the books, games and local maps provided, including the reference books on flowers, butterflies and wildlife.

The owner was extremely helpful and prompt in replying to enquiries and provided lots of useful information about the area.

One of the best local amenities is the Chateau la Roche Jagu, which is only a short walk away along mostly green lanes; it has extensive and varied gardens and stupendous views over a tidal river. The food at the Chateau café looked wonderful, but it's worth knowing that you have to book meals in advance because they use fresh local produce and can only cater for limited numbers.

We also loved the beach at Brehec and the Sept Iles boat trip. If you like birds the latter is a must - the sight (and sound) of 36,000 gannets on one rocky island made our week. Treguier is also well worth a visit for its charming square and cathedral and some interesting shops; and we enjoyed the evening boat trip round the "lavoirs" (laundry-houses) on the river at Pontrieux.

The house would be good for families with younger or older children or for a small group of friends. There's loads to do in the area and we could have spent another two weeks there very happily.

Very comfortable and well equipped cottage. Traditional French farmhouse style in fabulous, spacious wildlife garden. Rural setting close to the pretty town of Pontrieux. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kermingay. The weather was perfect. Gilly and Geoffrey have made a big effort to make your stay here comfortable, providing much more equipment than your standard holiday rental. We enjoyed the bird books and made use of the maps. There is even a huge French / English dictionary if you need it. Well positioned to explore the local area which is beautiful, or just chill out in the peaceful garden with the turtle doves.

This is a fabulously isolated cottage in the heart of the Brittany countryside. It is extremely well-equipped and set in wonderfully wild and generous grounds. It is only a short walk to a nearby chateau and a slightly longer walk to the nearest town - both superb! A choice of beaches and attractions are all easily reached by car. For a peaceful holiday at your own pace this place is perfect.

Just enjoyed a super stay at Kermainguy. Property really spacious, clean and incredibly well equipped. It had real character and was very homely. We enjoyed eating out in the lovely garden. The house is in a quiet setting near Pontrieux. We enjoyed visits to Pontrieux on market day, Paimpol, Treguier and Lannion. We also visited several beaches which were all superb, with free parking close by. The beautiful pink granite coast is spectacular, there is so much to see and do close by and we would definitely return to see more!
The owners were extremely helpful both before and during our stay and made us feel very welcome.I would definitely recommend this property and this area of Brittany for a memorable holiday. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Had a great 2 weeks here. The house is very comfortable and cosy, lots of outdoor space, and very peaceful - great for relaxing. Lots of guides and maps, games etc. Nearby Pontrieux has most facilities and a couple of good eateries. Best thing is the position - in 2 weeks we never had to drive more than 30 minutes (often less) to get to any number of beaches (there have to be more than a dozen within easy reach) or local attractions. Gilly and Geoffrey were really helpful with their communications and even sketched out some recommended bike rides. Would come here again

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage, there was so much space inside and out.
The kids loved it as they had a double room each and their own bathroom and TV upstairs. There was WiFi too, though a bit slow. In the garage there was an old pool table which the kids used a lot.
We had originally intended to camp (really glad we didn't), so having Sky Tv and all the cooking & washing facilities was a bonus for us.
The cottage is charming and characterful, though the finishes, fittings and furniture are not 5 star they are more than adequate. The layout is rambling and you would easily fit a party of 6 in here.
The garden is lovely and wild with mown pathways through it and there is a BBQ and outdoor dining area. It is a nice place to sit outside and read. There are no neighbours so it is very private & peaceful, you are in your own little world.
The nearest small town is just over 10 mins away by car. Pontrieux sits astride the river and has a small square on each side. It's a nice little place, but don't expect anything lively in this area if you want nightlife or a resort buzz then avoid Brittany.
All the towns and villages around are lovely and well presented.
We had visited Brittany before, on the south side, the northern coast near the cottage is much different, not very touristy all. Very pretty & unusual coast, some great beaches about 25 mins away, we were surprised by how quiet everywhere was for August.
Not tons to do, but very relaxing. I'd recommend it.

Great size cottage with plenty of inside and outside space in a peaceful location and was very comfortable for us and our young children (6 and 7yrs). Near to beautiful, quiet beaches and Pontrieux is a lovely small town to have a coffee and wander in.
