A warm welcome from Monique and Harry the owners of this beautiful farmhouse and very well kept pool set in secluded grounds with views of the Pyrennes. Our family gathering of three genarations twelve of us in total fitted very well into the accomodation with a totaly independant cottage for gran and grandad.
An ideal place to relax and enjoy the delightful surroundings and also to visit the medieval villages in the region also Albi is a "must visit" it is the birthplace of Toulouse Lautrec, and don't miss the Magnificent cathedral built of the Pink Bricks which gives the town the name "Ville Rose"
The owners are discreatly on hand with local information which we found extremely helpful regarding "eating places" shopping, and local markets.
Puech Malou is highly recommended in our book "Cinqe etoiles"

We have stayed at this lovely farmhouse and cottage in the summer of 2009 & again in 2011. What a magical place for our entire family, ranging from the ages of 3 – 71.

The home is charming, well equipped and clean. The grounds will take your breath away from the moment you pull into the drive. It can be difficult to find, so plan to arrive in daylight. It is remote, but that is part of the charm. You can still drive to many sights, restaurants, farmer’s markets, sheep farms, rock climbing etc. You can stay as busy as you like or spend lazy days by the pool, gathering chicken eggs or hunting for bugs as our children did for hours on end.

Harry and Monique proved to be much more than hosts. They can provide you with many ideas of what to do or see, make reservations for you, offer assistance with maps and navigating your day trips before leaving the house. They are there when you need them and quietly disappear when you do not

An idyllic spot on the top of a hill overlooking a beautiful scenery. A nicely restored and very commodious maison. More than enough reasons for having a splendid and relaxed stay in one of the most lovely regions of France. But our hostess and host – Monique and Harry – made of our stay a real treat with their delicious breakfasts and tables d’hotes. And above all with the many pleasant conversations we had together.

It was, as always, a perfect holiday. It is a beautiful place. We had a wonderful Christmas time. Delicious diners. Monique is a perfect host. There are a lot of places to see and visit.

We returned again this year to the serenity of Puech Malou and the unsurpassable hospitality of Harry and Monique. If you genuinely love rural France and the best of what it has to offer, there is no better place to stay. Comfort, cleanliness, understated style, and in Monique, an exceptional cook, are all elements that combine to make this a place you will not want to leave.
