Christopher and Jeanne were so kind when they welcomed me to the flat. They should me around the place and gave recommendations for places around the area.
The location: This is the best place to stay in Caen. You are in the heart of the city with restaurants, bars and coffee close by. There are also many little shops as well. You will not need a car for the location.
The Apartment: It is so delightful and unique. I slept upstairs in the attic as it felt so cozy and a little magical :). There are places downstairs to sleep, so for those who do not wish to climb the ladder. This would be a good place for you to stay.
Communication/hospitality: Christopher and Jeanne were so accommodating. I had my flights delayed, and when I arrived they were eating dinner. They graciously got up from dinner to help me get settled.
Overall, a truly wonderful experience. I can't recommend this space enough and I will definitely be back to stay here again.

Great stay in this atypical apartment right in the heart of Caen. Everything was perfect. The hosts are extremely kind. The apartment is very well equipped and the bedding is comfortable and comfortable! We would recommend Christopher's apartment without hesitation!

A warm welcome, an atypical accommodation under the rooftops of Caen. Accommodation in a great location and full of charm. We felt like in a cabin, falling back a little into childhood. Feel free to also enjoy the creperie at the bottom of the accommodation (La Galettoire): excellent cakes!!! We recommend!:-)

An absolutely perfect welcome by Jeanne and Christopher who are lovely hosts and thoughtful!!! It feels good in this original apartment, a little biscornu and lacks a large room but with a lot of character for those who love old stones and houses that have a history! Perfect to be with others, however be careful if you are looking for privacy as the rooms upstairs are only separated by screens. The apartment is conveniently located in the historic center of Caen and very well-equipped. We highly recommend me and my little family!

Our month long stay at Chris and Jan’s apartment was a delight! The apartment we rented was an apartment with An attached converted attic that was wonderful and cozy. On bastille day I watched a fireworks show from the comfort of the well appointed queen bed
I was amazed at the clever use of space for everything on both levels of the apartment
Chris and Jan are lovely people committed to making your stay as pleasant as possible. They gave us amble local resource guides and many helpful tips for where to shop for food. The number of restaurants located in easy walking distance left us only repeating certain ones by choice because they were that good.
If you are interested in history you could occupy yourself for days without ever needing a car or bus.
I highly recommend this place and these hosts if you find yourself looking in Caen.

Julie her son and daughter were a plaisir to host........ very friendly, thoughtful and communicative with out being in the least intrusive.They also took very good care of our somewhat unusual little flat and left everything in pristine condition. They came from a long way away.They are seasoned travelers and whoever wherever hosts them next can be absolutely sure that they will have no regrets.
