We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Mortagne with the very favourable weather meaning we made the most of the pool. We brought a gazeebo with us for extra shade, which we would recommend other guests do likewise.

Lynn and William were very helpful at all stages in the booking process and ensured there was a speedy response to any problems we reported.

I am sure we will return soon.

Thank you.

The property was in excellent condition and very well suited for our two families of 4. It provided everything we needed and the outdoor space matched the quality of the indoor space, including a large garden and a fantastic swimming pool. It was the ideal location for all of our needs and we would certainly return to the property in the future. The owner was incredibly helpful, both before and during the holiday, and we would certainly recommend it to others.

There were 2 families in our party each with 2 children. The house is lovely, really spacious and well laid out for 2 families in that there are 2 separate areas each with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom each. The property was spotlessly clean and Kim the housekeeper was very helpful. Huge garden, smashing pool. Very well equipped. Lots of books, videos, playstation games. There's lots to do in the area - the local port in Mortagne can be reached on foot for ice creams and a glass of wine. The pizza restaurant in the village is even closer - nothing flashy but great value and really friendly. We went paddle boarding in Jonzac, boating on the river in Saintes and visited the beach at St Georges de Didonne which is really nice and convenient to park. Also the caves at Meschers are interesting and Talmont is worth a visit (go early!). Lastly thanks to Lynn the owner for all her help. We would happily recommend " Les Lauriers" to friends.

We are a family of five and stayed for two weeks in this lovely house. The house is spacious and well equipped. The heated pool is fabulous and we were able to use it every day (even when it was a bit cloudy). It's a very good location - lots of places to visit within easy driving distance. The village and port are very pretty.

Spacious and clean villa in super secure garden for our grandsons to run about in with plenty of equipment to keep them busy. It is a real plus to have a large heated pool we all spent a lot of time in it. The locals are very friendly and patient as our grandsons tried out their French. Easy walking distance to the local shops and down to the harbour for it's little restaurants. Plenty to do in the area for all ages, we will certainly be returning. We would highly recommend the villa for couples or families.

This property actually surpassed the description on the website. It was spacious, well laid out and was a very comfortable space for two families of four. We loved the pool and the large garden and had a really enjoyable holiday there. The villa was just a short walk away from the town centre and its shops so it was very easy to get fresh croissants and bread every morning. The port of Mortagne was very pretty and there were some lovely beaches and places to visit within half an hour's drive of the villa. We would definitely recommend the villa to people of almost any age group but it is particularly well suited for families.

The 6 of us really enjoyed our stay at Les Lauriers - highlights was the pool, which was a lovely 29 degrees even when cloudy( the kids didn't want to get out! ) the large garden - good for ball games etc and the modern spacious accommodation .Also Mortagne has 2 very good bakers to choose from as well as a good butcher (though I kept going when they were shut) and a well-stocked co-op. The port is also well worth a visit - it has a collection of market stalls (fish, fruit etc) and the pizzeria was great (try a perigordine if you want enough meat to keep you going for a week!). Gigi's was also good. The Villa proved to be a good base to explore the local area -

The zoo at Palmyre(Drive 30 mins) the monastry carved out of the mortagne cliff top, riding an enormous 6 person bike down St George de Didonne seafront. 20 mins drive) and La Rochelle with the aquarium and the museum des automates.

Pool was looked after by a friendly french neighbour who was very good at giving us up to date local weather forecasts and garden also well maintained.

Would highly recommend this villa esp to people with mobility issues.
