Stunning Dordogne Holiday House in La Roque Gageac, France - La Malartrie Reviews

Myself, my wife and our two 'kids' (aged 26 and 22) spent 10 very enjoyable days here and we were all sad to leave at the end. The property was very spacious and well equipped and enabled us to fully relax. The highlight has got to be the covered terrace overlooking the river. We ate breakfast there every morning and usually finished our day off there as well, drinking wine, chatting and watching the world go by including hot air balloons most evenings.

Dave the owner popped in a few times to ensure we settled in OK and his hints and tips on what to do locally were very useful. We had great days out canoeing, cycling, and visiting nearby villages and châteaus. We only ventured further than 10 miles away on two occasions as there was so much to do in the locality. The nearby village of Roque Gageac was a gentle 10 minute walk where it was easy to find good food(and ice creams) in one of several bars and restaurants, as well as a good supply of croissants for breakfast every day!

Overall I would thoroughly recommend this property for any family that wants to relax but have activities on their doorstep. It really is in a picture postcard location!
