We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday at the house with friends. It is typically French and charming, full of character and lots of little surprises in the layout. The kitchen is well equipped although a little small for a large party of people. But the rest of the house was spacious with lots of quaint features. The outside space is fantastic. Lots of beautiful grounds around the house, lots of exploring for children, especially hunting for lizards! The views are what make this property really special, they are spectacular! It is surrounded by hills, vineyards and sunflower filled fields, truly stunning. The pool is very well maintained, and has ample space for 9 people. The hosts, Kristina and Christophe were lovely and so helpful. We experienced a breakdown in our vehicle en route and Kristina did our first shop for essentials in time for our late arrival. She also took us to the local town and supermarket the following day and to a local organic supplier of vegetables and fruit. Plus a sample of the local aperitif, Pineau, which went down well with the adults! Would definitely recommend for large family or groups.

Lovely property with space and tremendous views across to the Gironde. Perfect for our extended family from 3 yr old granddaughter to us 'oldies'....we all loved the pool, plus safe and extensive grounds to run around in. Bedrooms were fine once you worked your way round the villa...kitchen excellent and loved cooking on the plancha (I have since bought my own!) Very friendly neighbour across the road (Fred) who speaks perfect English and manages a vineyard near Blaye...lovely 'bio' wines. Beaches about 40 minutes away at St Georges were ideal for youngsters.

This place is amazing - a secluded spot with spectacular views, huge grounds and an incredible pool, The house is beautiful and quirky - we loved the vast central room with a coffee table made out of a giant bellows. Kristina and Christophe are enormously helpful and friendly, making sure the whole process ran smoothly and we felt really welcome. The solitude was so relaxing, it was hard to tear ourselves away from the pool, but it was an easy drive to some wonderful beaches. And what a view of the stars at night - magnificent! It was really hard to leave this corner of paradise.

We stayed at the property for two weeks in August. The pictures make it look lovely, but really do not do it true justice! It is absolutely beautiful. It is located on top of a hill and the views are spectacular, the interior is large enough to accommodate 3 families all with small children and well equipped with everything you need, the grounds (which are large enough to be 'grounds' rather than garden were great for the Children to run around safely and for the adults to relax. The pool was great too! The property is quiet and secluded Off the beaten track, but a short drive to the town and a good Supermarket. (or a decent morning run to the bakery if you are lucky enough to have a fitness fiend in your group! ) Beaches at Royan are 40 mins away, pretty and child friendly. Loads of other great places to visit all under an hours drive. The water park in Jonsac was great fun for a wet day. The hosts Kristina and Christophe were lovely, helpful and very friendly with great communication before and after our stay. We would recommend this place wholeheartedly. I am sure we will return!! Thank you!

We stayed at this property for three weeks in summer 2020. The location was stunning, amazing views from the garden and pool - we were lucky that we visited when the sunflowers were in full bloom, so even more spectacular! The house is spacious and eclectic in its decor, there was plenty of room for us all. We especially enjoyed the beaches on the Atlantic coast - especially the Cote Sauvage, which is a bit of a drive, but totally unspoilt and deserted. Talmont sur Gironde is also worth a look too, very pretty fishing village. Thanks Kristina and Christophe - great vacation!
