Coucou cottage is a 300-year old farmhouse, thoughtfully refurbished to preserve its rustic charm. With three bedrooms, a private pool, and a large garden, it’s set on a hill offering countryside views — all nestled within the heart of a medieval village with convenient amenities including a boulangerie just steps away!
Open year-round, with weekly stays during High season and flexible arrival & departure days during Low season, it’s also available for monthly stays. Note during Low season, utilities are charged based on usage.

Accommodation
This two-storey house features 3 bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, an open-plan living space, a large cloakroom and 3 and a half bathrooms.
The first double bedroom is on the ground floor with a king-sized bed, and large double doors that open to the outside. A family bathroom is also on the ground floor, with a bathtub as well as a large walk-in shower.
On the first floor, there is another spacious king-sized double bedroom with an ensuite shower room, as well as a twin bedroom with its own ensuite shower room. Both rooms are generously sized, with beautiful wooden beams overhead.
All bedrooms feature wardrobes, elegant furniture, fans, and large windows that flood the rooms with natural light.
A cot and a high chair are available, as well as a stair gate.
The ground floor living space centres around a large fireplace with timber beams overhead.
Rustic timber columns also frame the entrance to the kitchen, decorated in a beautiful country style. There is a Smeg range cooker, a large fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. There is plenty of storage space, crockery, and multiple countertops for meal preparation.
The indoor dining table seats 6 guests, and a set of doors from the kitchen lead to a covered outdoor terrace that houses an additional dining table also seating 6 guests.
There is wifi installed and also a Smart TV. The wifi also works well on the terrace. A washing machine and a tumble drier are available at the property.
Linen, bath, and pool towels are included, leaving you more room in your suitcases! Complimentary linen changes are provided for stays of two weeks or more.
Outside
Coucou Cottage features a 7×3.5m swimming pool accessed by a ladder, and alarmed for safety. It’s surrounded by a large patio with sun loungers and umbrellas.
At the bottom of the garden there is a covered area that houses a large gas barbecue.
A covered outdoor terrace, accessible from the kitchen, houses a dining table for 6 guests, and a bench for enjoying the surroundings.
The garden is elevated, allowing for lovely views across the countryside. The garden is also fully fenced.
Parking is directly outside on the street or in a small square just 12 metres away in front of the Town Hall.

Larger towns in the area include Gourdon and Puy L’Évêque. Certainly Cahors, just 25km to the east, is worth a visit for its historic Pont Valentré bridge and its vineyards and wine culture. Further to the north, the famous Sarlat-la-Canéda is 40km away along the Dordogne River.
Visit the market town of Cazals 10km away on a Sunday for fresh local delicacies. Nearby is Lake Cayres set in 3 hectares with fishing, swimming, a sandy beach and many water sports, as well as picnic areas and tennis & basketball courts.
