Here at Poulmarvezen Holiday cottages (where we can accommodate up to 30+ people, plus babies, toddlers etc.) we have five beautiful properties available to rent, located in the most idyllic of settings. Our cottages are situated at the end of a very quiet lane, south-facing, and with a 180 degree uninterrupted panorama of rolling fields and woodland. These beautiful mellow stone buildings were built over the course of several centuries. The earliest buildings still existing date back over 300 years. These lovely old buildings have been tastefully renovated to the highest standards, so you can enjoy a peaceful relaxing holiday “away from the madding crowds”.
We have a large in-ground swimming pool, 9 meters x 4.5 metres x a constant 1.2m depth, with toddler safety alarm. We also have four acres of grounds and woodland where children can relive the sort of childhood us older members of society can recall. We hope you find a property that suits your needs so that we can welcome you to Poulmarvezen Holiday cottages.
LE GRENIER is 2 bedroom and sleeps 5 and is accessed at first floor level via a wooden bridge from the private garden at the rear of the longere. The entrance door leads into a large open-plan living/dining/kitchenette. The kitchenette is complete with sink unit, fridge/freezer, gas hob, and multifunction microwave oven. This room is attractively and comfortably furnished, with dark exposed roof timbers and white-boarded ceiling. There is a pine table with five dining chairs, a 3-seater sofa, and a couple of wicker armchairs … not that the children will ever need them … they’ll be off down in the woodlands on some adventure! TV, DVD, Wi-Fi.
A staircase leads downstairs to two spacious (cool in summer) bedrooms overlooking the rose gardens. The first bedroom has a king-size bed, the second bedroom has three single beds, ideal for children. There is also a shower room, (complete with thermostatic shower for safety, and a “proper” shower with sliding doors, (not those irritating curtains that stick to your back!), complete with WC and handbasin. For those of you who have stayed in Le Grenier before this has now been re-arranged so that it is accessible independently by either bedroom, (it was formerly en-suite in the “grown-ups” bedroom). There is also a large built-in wardrobe, with super-clean melamine interior, complete with shelves and hanging rail.
