Our beautifully restored 16th century Breton Farmhouse complex is in a courtyard setting surrounded by lovely gardens including our large heated pool and children’s play barn. The property is situated in the rural heart of Brittany in the historic hamlet of Rosquelfen within very close proximity to the wonderful Lac De Guerledan considered one of the prettiest parts of Brittany, and easy driving distance from the beautiful Pink Granite Coast to the north, and the Gulf of Morbihan to the south. It is ideally placed as Gouarec is just a 3 minute drive (or 20 min walk) where you will find all the necessary amenities. Our Gites in Brittany offer a peaceful and private setting in a rural area of Brittany ideal for both exploring and relaxing. Both cottages have been newly decorated and furnished providing comfortable accommodation for guests. Our holiday cottages are Les Chouettes which is named after our barn owls and sleeps 8 and Les Rossignols (nightingales), which sleeps 4.

Our pool is 36 feet by 15 feet by 4 feet deep. It has a wide shallow Roman steps leading down into the main swimming area, these steps are ideal for toddlers and small children to paddle and play in the warm water. The pool is environmentally heated and our salt chlorination system makes the water kind to skin and eyes. The pool is a situated in a separate gated garden for safety and is surrounded by lawns screened by shrubs and trees for your privacy. There are plenty of sun loungers, chairs, tables, parasols inflatables and dive toys for use at the pool. The pool is open from early May to late September.

Les Chouettes is an early 16th century stone cottage in typically Breton style. It is fully tiled throughout the ground floor and has pine floors upstairs which are both child friendly. The ground floor of this cottage is a spacious open plan area with exposed beams and a wood burner set into a huge original granite fireplace, 2 comfortable sofas, English satellite TV with DVD and CD players. The dining area has a round oak dining table and chairs which seats 8 and a large oak glass fronted dresser. There is a newly fitted kitchen which is well equipped with  kitchen units with built under electric oven, gas hob, cooker hood, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and washing machine. There is a wide selection of English books, DVD's and board games to suit all ages in the nearby play barn..

Bedroom 1 with a king size bed and en-suite shower room, Bedroom 2 with a double bed, Bedroom 3, a children's room with 2 sets of sturdy pine bunk beds, and a separate family shower room with electric wall heater. The cottage is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, kitchen utensils, duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels. Electric heaters are available to heat the bedrooms out of season.

There is a lovely sheltered  garden to the front of the gite and with outdoor dining table table, chairs, sunshade, barbecue and swings. There is a locked gate which opens into the gardens surrounding the heated swimming pool and terrace area.

Fresh garden produce,homemade jams and eggs from our resident hens are available to purchase from the courtyard guests larder. Fresh french bread and croissants can be ordered for daily delivery.
