The Cottage Le Pigeonnier can accommodate 2 to 9 people with its' 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It is situated in the countryside near Eymet in the south of the department of the Dordogne, in a 3-house hamlet called Lauzanac.
Surrounded by fields and farm animals and with a private swimming pool, the cottage is ideal for holidays with family or friends, far from noise and pollution. Le Pigeonnier is open all year round for short breaks, by the week or even for a month or more out of season.
The garden
The garden is about 1000m² and fenced. There is a children’s swing, a ping-pong table in the garage that you can put outside in the sun if you prefer, a green space with a covered terrace for the sun-loungers and a private fenced swimming pool(8m x 4m). The barbecue is not far from the second covered terrace which is against the house.

Ground floor
This original 18th century pigeonnier, now with all modern conveniences, offers a traditional style périgordine house.
The entrance, accessible from the covered terrace, overlooks an open kitchen turned to the fields through a glass wall resembling a workshop. It’s very well equipped with:dish-washer,washing machine,microwave,hob,oven,american fridge,food processor,coffee maker,kettle and toaster.
This kitchen opens onto the dining-room with countryside table and chairs, an ancient french style cupboard, a desk with wired or wifi internet access and a small library with information on the region. There is also a stereo available for use.
The living room is furnished with: two leather sofa bads (non convertible) a coffee table,a library with dvd and books,a TV and dvd player,a satellite for access to foreign TV channels,a french countryside cabinet and a wooden stove with a glass door that will let you enjoy the warmth from the flames during the winter evenings.
There is also a recently refurbished Orange bedroom on the ground floor, complete with en-suite bathroom. It comprises a king size bed, 2 bedside cabinets and a wardrobe with plenty of storage space. There is a separate WC in the hallway between the living room and the orange bedroom.
The cottage is unique as the first floor is split in two, enabling two families to have their own privacy and space.
The left side of the first floor:The hallway gives access to the blue bedroom and ensuite bathroom comprising: a queen size bed, 2 bedside cabinets, a wall cabinet with plenty of storage space and a baby cot.
The right side of the first floor:
From the dining room, up a second staircase, you reach a landing which opens on to the green bedroom with: a double bed, 2 beside tables, a chest of drawers and an imposing country style tall-boy. Next to this bedroom is a shower room with WC and washbasin. There is an old mirror on the landing surrounded by the original bare stone, above an ancient basin hewn out of stone as well.
Second floor
The staircase leads up to the children’s bedroom in the part which was formerly the pigeon loft. We have kept the ancient roof with the old oak beams as well as the old pigeon roosting boxes and the stone with the 6 holes where the birds went in and out (it is glazed now).
This yellow bedroom has: 3 single beds,2 bedside tables,a chest of drawers and a hanging cupboard with shelves. Towels and linen can be provided at a charge.
The farmhouse cottage Le Pigeonnier is equipped with central heating and an open fire – the wood comes from the farm.
