Complete and utter heaven! This is the second time that we have spent a wonderful holiday at this beautiful gite and I certainly hope that it won’t be the last! I can’t recommend it enough.

We were pleased to find that everything was as immaculate as it was during our first stay at Cauboue. The gite itself is spacious, clean and well kept, exactly as it appears in the photographs. It's ideal for a couple like us, but with enough room to accommodate up to four people. We were met on arrival by the manager, who is English speaking and is available if there are any queries during your stay, who never fails to give you a warm welcome and a gratefully appreciated fresh baguette, a good bottle of wine and a French cheese. He is always there on hand when advice is needed but allows guests their privacy and space. The neighbours are also extremely warm and friendly offering their kind hospitality and invitations to local events.

We have been lucky enough to enjoy hot sunny days with bright blue skies during both of our stays in Cauboue – firstly in September 2011 then in May this year – so have spent the majority of our time lazing by the pool, whilst enjoying the peace and solitude, the glorious views from the property to the beautiful hilltop village of St.Puy or cycling through the local lanes through miles of stunning countryside.

The setting is idyllic for anyone hankering after a holiday in the south of France - not too far from Toulouse airport, an abundance of idyllic countryside, perfect for exploring either by bicycle or car. When the weather is too hot for venturing far, we recommend a swim in the huge, immaculately kept pool or just lounging in the sunshine with a good book and a glass of wine from the local vineyard. Absolute heaven, what more could you ask?!

We have already highly recommended Cauboue to our family and friends - it would be perfect for both couples or families with two children. The trouble with writing a review for Cauboue is that we'd actually like to keep it all to ourselves so that we can visit whenever we want to! It was all that we dreamed of and more.

Very good, well laid out accomodation. Everything necessary supplied. Good outdoor space and equipment. We loved the surrounding countyside and the wildlife. We found eating out locally at lunchtime good value for money and St Puy village seemed to have most things that one would need in the shops there. Would be more than happy to go again.

An extremely relaxing place to stay. Comfortable, roomy and well equipped, with a large clean pool. In open countryside, 2 km from St Puy. Lots of interesting places to visit within easy cycling/ driving distance and a variety of local markets to enjoy. Good Wi-Fi connection was a bonus. We will certainly be recommending this gite to family and friends.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely gite despite ten days of cold, wet weather. It is in a beautiful spot, very quiet and private and perfect for a relaxing holiday.

It was exactly as portrayed in the photographs , very spacious,well-equipped and comfortable.

We were looked after very well by the owners' representative who was on hand should there have been any problems...which there weren't! We would definitely recommend this gite to family and friends.

We enjoyed many walks in the lovely countryside, visited the interesting bastides and were never short of somewhere of interest to go.

We were very pleased that the sun finally came out for our last four days and that we were able to see the Gers looking its' best.

We would love to visit again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely gite, The bathroom and the lounge are particularly large and the whole house feels spacious. The gite was well equipped with sufficient kitchen utensils, tea towels etc The very large pool quickly warmed as the days heated up and we made good use of it. It was certainly not just a pool for young children, although of course there was a shallow end. There was lots of space around the pool to sit and relax and the patio outside the kitchen was an ideal place to have breakfast and watch the birds, lizards and the occasional red squirrel. Mary and Richard were very helpful and kind managers and gave us lots of useful advice and recommendations. The property is situated in a lovely area of France and there are lots of pretty and ancient towns and villages to visit within a thirty km radius plus sports facilities for those who require them. This property is one of only a few that we would certainly like to return to and we would recommend it to friends and family. We came home feeling we would like to have stayed for the whole of June but then we did have glorious weather to go with the lovely gite.

My husband, myself and our wee dog Millie enjoyed two great weeks at Cauboue. The large gite is situated just a couple of kilometers from St. Puy. The property is very well maintained and has spacious rooms and is very well equipped. There are plenty of films to watch, books to read and games to play. There is a lovely outside terrace, where we ate most of our meals, looking out over the fields and enjoying the wild life - a Hoopoe was a regular morning visitor! The swimming pool is very large and we enjoyed swims most days as the weather was superb.

Richard and Mary were very helpful and friendly and the neighbours up the lane were great. My husband enjoyed some good games of golf at Fleurance. There are just so many beautiful places to visit and enjoy - La Romieu, Condom, St. Puy, - just to name a few. A wealth of places to explore. We also enjoyed some great walks in the countryside with Millie. The food and drink within the area add to the enjoyment.

Nick and Val were very nice people to deal with. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have booked to return in September, with mu Mum. A gite to be highly recommended!

we stayed 3 weeks at Nick and Val, and despite the wayward weather we had a great holiday. The cottage is very well appointed, comfortable, attentive owners, discreet and very friendly. A beautiful pool to cool off, a beautiful old stone house, a nice terrace for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a hammock to rest in the shade of a large oak. Everything is gathered here for an exceptional stay. We will be back for sure. a big thank you to Nick and Val for their kindness and hospitality (we were waiting for our arrival some good homemade jams, a bottle of wine and a delicious hot cake)

Another really relaxing holiday in this lovely part of France. This is the third time we have stayed in this gite, it suits a family of 4 perfectly. Comfortable, clean and well equipped with a fantastic pool. In easy reach of lots of attractions - picturesque villages, swimming lake, roman ruins, quiet roads for cycling, there is something for everyone. Hopefully we shall be back next year.

Although we rarely visit the same place twice, this was our second visit to Cauboue and again we had a brilliant time. The gite is roomy and comfortable for any season and conducive to a relaxing and stress free holiday with the advantage of having a friendly "manager" - Richard - at the end of a phone.

The outlying area is so pleasant to drive through and stop off when the fancy takes with numerous little restaurants in the various, historical little villages. That's if you can tear yourself away from the enormous swimming pool which was a boon this year as we had some very hot days. The local restaurants are good value but in some cases require booking. One particular little pizzeria in the main street out of Valence sur Baise is well worth a visit and very popular with the local residents. (Try the cider).

We really love Cauboue and look forward to returning.
