Situated in open countryside on the edge of a quiet hamlet, these 16th century farmhouse gites have been carefully renovated to retain exposed beams and other original features. A comfortable and relaxing base for your holiday. La Metairie is ideally situated for a peaceful holiday with a number of activities nearby.

Ideally located for Poitiers , Futuroscope, La Rochelle and the Atlantic coast, Loire Valley , Puy du Fou, Pescalis, Marais Poitevin and much more

All the grounds are accessible and the garden furniture can be moved to wherever you would like it. The large pool (30ft x 15ft) is shared by both gites. There is a deck- terrace alongside the pool, with sun loungers, where you can relax. Offering open views across the valley.


Accommodation of our Deux Sevres holiday gites, comprises of:


L'Etable - sleeps 4/6

Spacious, comfortable accommodation on 2 floors. The ground floor comprises of an open-plan, double-glazed living area with lounge area with wood burning fire, TV and DVD and futon sofabed. Fitted kitchen with gas hob, electric mini-oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Dining area. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms: 1 double, with 2 fitted wardrobes and bedside cabinets. 1 twin, with wardrobe and bedside cabinet. Bathroom/WC with half-bath with integral seat and over bath shower. BBQ and garden furniture is provided.

L'Ecurie - sleeps 2
"Wheelchair friendly" accommodation on one floor, giving a distinct "cottage feel". Combined lounge/kitchen/dining area comprising gas cooker with oven, microwave, fridge & washing machine. Bathroom/WC is in the form of a wetroom with a larger-than-average shower area and is wheelchair accessible. Double bedroom with ceiling fan. Window-seat with storage below and a wardrobe. BBQ and garden furniture is provided. Both gites are fully equipped and provided with ironing-board/iron & clothes airer etc. Bed linen is provided, but not towels. The thick stone walls provide excellent insulation, giving cool accommodation in the summer and warm accommodation in the winter.

The gites can be combined to create a single unit.
