Domaine de Cournet-Haut, set in the picturesque Dordogne Valley, is a 17th century lodge set on 13 acres of beautiful lush gardens and bright mature forest. The domain was charmingly restored over 30 years ago by Hélène and Emmanuel Pichon-Varin into a self-catering holiday residence, consisting of 3 traditional stone houses and 6 woodland chalets.
‘Le Châtaigner’ (The Chestnut Tree) is the closest chalet to the pool and gardens. Found at the edge of the mature forest, it offers respite amongst the coolness of the trees in the summer and an enviable view of the pool and lawns. Le Châtaigner can accommodate 6 people and has been beautifully crafted in traditional Perigourd style. There is one double room, one twin room and one bunk bedroom. The bathroom and WCs are separate. You’ll discover the inviting open plan living area with kitchenette (equipped with a two ring hob, multifunction oven/microwave, dishwasher and all the necessary kitchenware) leads to a spacious, partly covered terrace where barbecues and star gazing will become just some of your favourite activities. Electric heating is also available in cooler months, there is a TV with DVD player (Free DVD library arriving shortly) and WIFI (free of charge).

We have recently purchased a large range of new bikes, and also a number of child carrier seats. A great way to explore the peaceful countryside with all the family.
Special Rental Conditions
Gas, water and electricity consumption. Heating including burning wood for log fires.
Pets accepted. Access and full use of all facilities (heated pool, tennis, bikes(with child seats) .... Baby chair, bath and cots if necessary.
Heated pool from 15th May to 15th September weather permitting.
Bed linen, towels and teatowels. Final cleaning. Optional extra cost are displayed below.
Table tennis balls and racquets are not provided.
OPTIONAL SUPPLEMENTS (to be settled on site) : Inclusive hire of linen including : 2 sheets, pillow case, 1 bath mat, 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, 2 flannels and 3 teatowels : 16 euros per person. Hire of linen only including : pair of sheets and pillow case : 13 euros per package. Laundry : washing machine : 3 euros per load, tumble drier : 3 euros per load. Final cleaning 35 euros per house of 4 people, 40 euros per house of 5 or 6 people and €60 for La Tour. Baby-sitting when available. Breakfast when available : 20 euros.
TERMS OF BOOKING : 25 % deposit with booking. Balance 4 weeks before arrival. In the event of cancellation : More than 30 days before arrival : 10 % of the total amount. Between 30 days and 21 days before arrival : 25 % of the total amount. Between 21 days and 7 days before arrival : 50 % of the total amount. Within 7 days before arrival : 100 % of the total amount. Any extra occupants over the capacity of the house will be charged €15 Per Person Per Night
