The Boat House is an old Breton cottage renovated to accommodate 4 adults in 2 bedrooms or a family of 4 or 5.
The house is a useful base for exploring Brittany in all directions.
To the north: the coastline - coastal walks and beaches / Saint Alban - shopping for souvenirs and Breton pottery, biscuits and toffees / Pléneuf-Val-André, Erquy and Les Sable d'Or les Pins for restaurants and cafés.
To the east: Dinan and Moncontour, - 2 medieval cities / Saint Malo and Mont Saint Michel on the north Brittany coast / Castle Bourbanaise and the zoo, with falconry displays / the Rance tidal barrage
To the west: Quintin - an ancient linen weaving town with lake, chateau and linen museum / Saint Brieuc and Trégueux shopping centres / Guerlédan and the lake, with neolithic sites and the Forge industrial museum.
- To the south: the medival town of Josselin / Ploërmel - lac au Duc and Hydrangea farm, / Malestroit - WWW2 Resistance museum and the start of Breton's King Arthur trail / Rochefort-en-Terre and the Prehistoric Park, with real size dinosaur models.

The house is in a small hamlet, in a country setting so entertainment and activities are few here (farming region). Footpaths to walk, a few local historical sites, but visitors would need to drive to towns like Lamballe, Dinan, Josselin for restaurants. We can provide all this information at the house.
