Self Catering Holiday Villa for Rental in Roubichoux, Near Chalabre, Aude, France This large spacious holiday villa is situated in a pretty hamlet with magnificent mountain views, a private garden and a heated salt water swimming pool. Inside the villa you will find a large bright and modern open plan lounge and kitchen with French windows that face both south and west. There is a three piece leather chairs and sofa, a dining table and chairs, a coffee table, cupboards, television and DVD player. The kitchen area is fully equipped with an oven, 4 ring gas stove, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. Sleeping up to 10 people, the villa boasts 4 separate bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is located on the ground floor and has a double bed and its own en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet. Bedroom 2 has a double bed with built in wardrobe. Bedroom 3 has 1 double bed and a single bed, and the last bedroom has 3 single beds. As well as the en-suite bathroom for bedroom 1, there is also a family bathroom which has twin wash basins and a bath and shower. Both the bathrooms have a toilet. The utility room or outhouse is perfect for storing your bikes or any other equipment, ideal for storing bulky items. There you will also find an additional fridge and freezer. Outside the villa you can enjoy the private gardens with ample outdoor garden furniture and a barbecue for you to use during your stay. There are sun loungers and a seating area with tables around the salt water pool. The pool is shared with the owners who occasionally use it. There is also a sink and refrigerator in the shaded area which make it great for eating and entertaining outdoors The villa is suitable for any one with mobility restrictions but unfortunately due to some of the steps and doors it is not suitable for wheelchairs, although most of the rooms enjoy easy access. Enjoy country walks in the picturesque countryside or the winding woody lanes. Roubichoux is a hamlet situated just 5km from Sonnac and 8km from Chalabre. The villa is 60km from the walled city of Carcassonne and 100km from the regional capital of Toulouse. The historic towns of Foix with its castle and Mirepoix ( home to the best market in the region) are also easily accessible. Shops, banks, restaurants, local bars bakery, doctors, and the local chemist are all within 10 mins in Chalabre, or a little further at Mirepoix. There are many outdoor sports facilities such as go carting at 'Leroque d'Olmes'. Horse riding, bike hire, rafting and canoeing are nearby. The fantastic local markets must be on the top of your to do list with regional produce, & its renowned charcuteries & dried sausage, Local produce such as cheeses, honey, fruits and wines, so much to see and taste.
