Local Attractions
There are gorgeous views from the terrace over the Couesnon river valley to the south, while the orchard with its barbecue and garden furniture provides plenty of space for sunbathing or picnics under the apple trees.
Depending on the season, guests are welcome to help themselves to an abundance of fresh fruit (not only apples but pears, plums, peaches and cherries!)
Places of interest in the surround area include:
Mont Saint Michel,
The famous abbey, Mont Saint Michel has attracted visitors for centuries. Isolated on a granite island in a sheltered bay, this heritage site is also of particular environmental interest.
Saint Malo,
A fortified port, Saint Malo’s offers both gorgeous beaches and little cafés, and traditional granite architecture. The cobbled streets and picturesque views over the sea remind the visitor of the regions strong maritime history
Dol de Bretagne,
The charming town of Dol de Bretagne host a large market every Saturday morning.
With a selection of restaurants, cafes and bars to suit all taste Its central street are lined with traditional houses often decorated with wood and the asymmetric granite cathedral was for centuries the ecclesiastical centre for all of Brittany
Cancale
The seaside town of Cancale is just 30 minutes from the cottage and is renowned for its delicious local oysters and seafood in general as well as the buckwheat crêpes for which Brittany is famous. Its large number of cafés and restaurants stretch along the streets beside the bay and allow visitors to watch the fishermen as they harvest the oysters or the sailing boats that make their way along the coast towards the open sea.
