Le Petit Lapin is a traditional Breton holiday rental cottage that sits on the top of a hill in the small village of Sains, located on the Brittany-Normandy border. This beautiful self catering cottage has been renovated and furnished to a very high standard and offers a perfect small yet comfortable holiday rental for up to 4 people. To the South the cottage offers some stunning views over the Couesnon Valley.

Inside this beautiful granite cottage you will find a sitting and dining area, kitchen, bedroom and second bedroom on a mezzanine floor.
The fully equipped kitchen has all the equipment you will need during your stay. With an electric hob, oven with rotisserie, small refrigerator / freezer, a microwave, electric kettle, coffee, toaster, washing machine and plenty of dishes and cooking utensils you can do as much (or as little) cooking as you like.

The small but cosy sitting and dining area offers the space to sit, chat, relax, watch TV, and listen to music or share a nice meal with a glass of wine. There is a small entertainment centre which will allow our guests to play CDs, DVDs, VHS videos, and satellite TV. Both radio and television stations from the UK and France are available. There is also a good selection of videos, CDs and books.

Bedroom 1 contains a double bed with built in wardrobes, the second bedroom which is found on the mezzanine floor also has a double bed and stunning views over the countryside from the roof window.

The bathroom has a tiled power shower, built in sink and toilet. There is also a heated towel bar, please note towels are included.

Outside the cottage you will find the cottages own private terrace. From the terrace you can enjoy the gorgeous views over the Couesnon river valley to the South, the orchard with its garden furniture and BBQ offers a spacious area for relaxing, eating, picnics under the apple trees and sunbathing. Depending on the season our guest are welcome to help themselves to an abundance of fresh fruit.
The courtyard at the front of the property offers plenty of parking.

Free wireless internet is available throughout the cottage and outside on the terrace.

The village of Sains is just 9 km from the famous medieval site of Mont Saint Michel. Just short walks from the cottage are the villages outdoor basket ball court and large playing fields, there is also a beautiful lake which is great for fishing or a family picnic.

A scenic 30 minute drive will take you to the sandy beaches. Famed for for its oysters the town of Cancale is also around a 30 minute drive away where you can experience some dramatic cliff walking. Both of which are again within similar distances from the house are the beautiful medieval town of Dinan, the seaside town of Dinard and Saint Malo, with its old walled town and a large aquarium.

The famous abbey, Mont Saint Michel has attracted visitors for centuries. Isolated on a granite island in a sheltered bay, this heritage site is also of particular environmental interest.

Saint Malo,
A fortified port, Saint Malo’s offers both gorgeous beaches and little cafés, and traditional granite architecture. The cobbled streets and picturesque views over the sea remind the visitor of the regions strong maritime history

Dol de Bretagne,
The charming town of Dol de Bretagne host a large market every Saturday morning.
With a selection of restaurants, cafes and bars to suit all taste Its central street are lined with traditional houses often decorated with wood and the asymmetric granite cathedral was for centuries the ecclesiastical centre for all of Brittany

Cancale
The seaside town of Cancale is just 30 minutes from the cottage and is renowned for its delicious local oysters and seafood in general as well as the buckwheat crêpes for which Brittany is famous. Its large number of cafés and restaurants stretch along the streets beside the bay and allow visitors to watch the fishermen as they harvest the oysters or the sailing boats that make their way along the coast towards the open sea.
