Self catering Brittany cottage to rent in Morbihan, France Bishops Well Cottage is a lovingly and sympathetically restored farmhouse attached to the 17th century Manoir. It has been furnished and equipped to a high standard and provides an ideal location for a family holiday. Our Brittany holiday rental cottage is formed, in part, by an annex of the Manoir. The comfffortably furnished lounge has a magnificent slate and granite fireplace and exposed oak beams. A steep staircase from the lounge accesses the spacious master bedroom, a beautiful sunlit room built into the roof to retain the king-post construction. It has a small mezzanine floor (useful for an extra mattress if required) and an ancient armoire- front amongst many features. The kitchen, bathroom and two smaller double bedrooms are a modern conversion of a much humbler structure, the cow byre, built alongside the house. Nevertheless, the original beams, posts and roof structures have been retained. The kitchen is furnished as a breakfast room with a larger dining table located in the lounge. It is well equipped and includes a dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The bathroom has a shower cubicle (no bath) as well as the usual facilities. The bedrooms are light and airy; the larger, equipped with two single beds, has a large lucarne window facing the front drive and garden whilst the other, with bunk beds, has a velux window overlooking the lawns to the back of the property. A washing machine is available for guest use in the adjacent utility room. A Satellite TV/Video/DVD are provided. . Bishops Well Cottage provides a welcome all year with a log fire in the winter and a cool interior for those hot summer days. It is furnished and decorated to a high standard with all the requirements of a modern home. It is ideal for a family holiday, or rented with the adjacent houses will accommodate large family get-togethers or group holidays.

Although attached to the main house, the cottage has its own completely separate and private entrance.
Guests are invited to enjoy any part of the garden at their leisure, there being ample space to accommodate all tastes from peaceful reading and shady picnic spots to boisterous ball games.. 
A private barbecue and garden furniture; a grassed badminton/volleyball court; games room with pool table, table tennis, darts and table football; swings, slide and ball games are provided.
The heated , 12x 6m pool lies to the rear of the cottages and is surrounded by oak, cherry and sweet chestnut trees and extensive areas of open, sunny lawn.
For local amenities Bodion is approximately 15 mins from the historic town of Pontivy where you will find supermarkets, restaurants and shops. Plumeliau, a 5 minute drive, is our local village; a friendly place to buy bread and croissants 
 St Nicholas des Eaux (15 mins), a charming village on the Blavet River, offers two restaurants, creperies and bars as well as river cruises and kayaking
The children will love tree climbing at the Adventure Forest near Camors and beaches are within 40 minutes drive
These, with the chateaux, museums, restaurants and a steady passage of pardons, fetes and fest noz, will, we think, ensure a varied and enjoyable holiday for all the family.
