Relaxing Breton Holiday Cottage with private heated Swimming Pool in Kersulan, Morbihan Reviews

We were looking forward to our stay at Walnut Tree Gite based on the website pictures and the correspondence we'd had with the owners, Tina and Graeme. When we arrived everything surpassed our expectations. We were met by Tina and Graeme after a long drive down to them and it felt like we were being welcomed by family friends, they helped with our bags, were really welcoming and friendly - it was really nice and a great start to our time there. They really couldn't have done any more for us, Tina had made us a delicious quiche to save us the hassle of making dinner because we were arriving late. There were cold beers and wine in the fridge, tasty homemade cake and chutneys - it was amazing! You would be hard pushed to find something they hadn't thought of. The gite was so well equipped with everything you might need. We've never been to a place that really had thought of everything to that extent. When we stay there again we can pack half as much as we did this time, as they've got it covered. There's more kitchen equipment than I think we have at our house, there are indoor games, outdoor games, table tennis, darts, baby highchair, baby plate, bowl etc. It really does make it a much more convenient and enjoyable experience. The gite itself is just as gorgeous if not more so than the pictures show. Every time we would go through the front door we were met with the smell of the roses, then you look out and take in the peace and tranquillity. The gardens, front and back, are so well maintained and inviting that you could honestly sit in any one of the many seated areas for hours (if you don't have children that is!). Although it wasn't the hottest and sunniest time of year when we visited we still managed to get plenty of use out of the pool and even gave the barbecue a whirl. The pool is immaculate and looks brand new. We have two young children (4 and 1) and it was a good size for all of us to splash around and have fun. Our kids loved it, lots of little nooks to explore in the garden, the chickens in Tina and Graeme's garden behind, all the games, it was perfect for us. I have to mention the bedrooms...I'm not sure we have ever slept so well. The black out blinds are fantastic. We all slept longer than usual thanks to the blinds and the beds...so comfortable! The property is amazing, and for anyone looking for a peaceful easy break away, this is ideal. When you add Tina and Graeme to the mix I think you're guaranteed to have a fantastic holiday. As I said before, nothing seems too much trouble for them. They even helped us plan our journey back, with suggestions on half-way point stopovers. We were already planning our next stay there before we had even left!
