Our villas are housed in old farm buildings, La Petite Porcherie and La Grande Porcherie, and the bread oven, Le Four a Pain.

All three villas have been converted and restored to offer a high standard of self catering accommodation complete with modern facilities and original charm. The oak beams which form the heart of our villas have been lovingly restored and give each room a unique character; each villa has a private terrace overlooking the pool, gardens and Correzian countryside. The rural setting ensures a quiet and peaceful environment for your stay and local markets and supermarkets mean you don’t need to go far if you prefer a totally relaxing break.

La Petite Porcherie Sleeps 2/3 people

La Petite Porcherie has been tastefully restored for modern living yet has retained many of its original 18th century features, such as beautiful exposed oak beams. It is situated in the beautiful Correze, the southern department of the Limousin region. The gite has been given a makeover during the 20/21 closed season and now has new lounge furniture to improve guests comfort.

This charming Correze holiday gite is centrally heated and comprises of 1 spacious bedroom, a well equipped kitchen with 4 ring stove, Single Oven, Grill, Microwave, Coffee Maker and Fridge. If you require other equipment such as a slow cooker or pressure cooker we have some available on request. The dining area can seat 3 guests. Entertainment in the gite, when not exploring your beautiful surroundings, includes a TV, DVD, CD player and a radio. There are numerous DVDs in the games room covering films, TV series, childrens subjects and more.

The traditional stone built cottage has a private terrace, a shared garden, BBQ,  and secure parking. Guests of the cottage also have use of a 12m x 5m shared swimming pool and wonderful views across the Correzien countryside.

The tranquil location of the gite ensures guests a quiet and peaceful environment for your stay.   The nearest village is Saint Pardoux Corbier which can be seen in the valley below our gardens.  In 2020 a brand new restaurant opened which serves lunch-time menus and in the evening haute cuisine.  Attached to the restaurant is a new epicery providing regional foodstufs.  These new additions augment the small tabac/winebar on the opposite side of the street.

The cottage offers the ideal base where guests can choose to simply relax by the pool or discover this beautiful part of South West France. Activities available locally include swimming, walking paths, cycling, canoeing, horse riding and tennis, go-karting, paint ball and mini-golf and there is fishing in various local lakes.  Bicycles are available to rent to assist you in your exploration of the surrounding area.

Markets:
Our local village, Saint Pardoux Corbier, hosts a market each Wednesday evening (1700 – 2300) during July and August. There are stalls selling local produce (Limousin beef/meat/sausages, bread, trout, vegetables, salad, wine, jam/honey, fruit etc) which can be purchased and eaten at the long tables provided. Large barbecues are available for everyone to use so you can cook your steak just how you like it! There is also a bar selling reasonably priced drinks, a crêperie and a place to buy hot chips to go with your steak. A variety of local bands provide live music.

Objat (25 – 30 minutes south) market is held every Sunday morning. There are stalls selling everything from tablecloths to live geese and jewellery to horse meat! There is more of a selection of stalls during the summer months but it is still fairly busy throughout the winter.

Lubersac has a local producers market every Friday afternoon, it’s not always very big (between 5 and fifteen stalls depending on the time of year and the weather!) but the produce is very good quality.
