Fongrive Villa
A lovely spacious property with heated safe pool. We had a lovely two week holiday at the property but it was a little too remote.We could not walk or cycle (very very hilly)to the local village to pick up nice fresh bread for breakfast as we expected to do.We had to drive everywhere.

Views and sunsets were amazing and it was truly a magical and safe place for our grandchildren .We had lovely evening walks through the fields with them.

Absolutely Incredible Holiday
We had the most wonderful holiday in this superb villa. If you are looking for a beautiful setting, spacious comfortable villa, gorgeous pool in an ideal location; I would definitely recommend Fongrive Haute. It is quiet and seems like you are in the middle of nowhere yet it is only a very short drive to a supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, butcher, restaurants etc. It's a great base to explore beautiful surrounding areas, markets, chateau's, and near lots of interesting sights. We even jumped on a train to Bordeaux for a day which took 1.5 hour. There was plenty of entertainment for adults and children at the villa for relaxing days. Fred and Sue have thought of everything and you will definitely get a very warm and welcoming feeling from the moment you book. Thank you Fred and Sue for such an amazing holiday and allowing us to stay in your home. We will definitely be back!!

A delightful well-equipped property situated in a beautiful location in rural France
This was a fantastic villa in a beautiful part of France surrounded by stunning views. The property is extremely well-equipped for a rental property and we would not hesitate to recommend this to anybody keen to visit this area.

It was a large villa with a great pool and garden and is ideal for a group or family visit. The owners were great at providing all information needed for a very enjoyable stay. We hope we might return some time in the future.

Absolutely fantastic views 360 degrees. Quiet country road with the odd passing tractor. Set in majestic countryside overloookng rural France. Fields of sunflowers and vines.

The house is perfect, large kitchen/dining area. Well appointed. Spacious and elegant bedrooms and living room.

Evening sunsets on spacious south west facing patio / veranda.

Great pool which was one of the cleanest ever with easy access Roman steps for the kids.

Definitely coming back here again.

Superb house
Fantastic house, clean and well equipped. Very spacious, we were a family of four but it could easily accommodate a second family. Would appeal to families of all ages!

Lovely house in a lovely but remote area
Spent seven days in this idyllic location set in the Dordogne countryside. A bit remote for shopping, even for the most basic of household purchases but for peace and tranquillity you could not find a better location. Views were amazing and some of the best we have been lucky to have had whilst staying in a variety of locations across France.

Very comfortable house in excellent location
We have stayed in a number of houses in France and this has been our favourite by far. The house is very well equipped, with large rooms and high ceilings, making it feel very spacious. We liked the fact that the kitchen is the central hub of the house and of a decent size. The really comfortable sitting room was a great place to retreat to and relax after sunset. The fantastic position of the property meant that views in every direction were possible, our favourite being the sunset terrace! Bicycles were a bonus and meant the trip to Sigoules for a bread run could be done without having to get in the car! A great place for family and friends to create some happy memories. Take a walk to the Buddhist retreat, which was well worth a visit!

A beautiful villa in a picture perfect location
We had the most wonderful holiday in Fongrive Haut. The villa was very spacious, clean and comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed to make this feel like a home away from home. The villa was perfect for us as we had two young babies, but with the games room full of board games, baby football, boules, table tennis and use of the owners bikes this would make a great holiday for children and adults of any age! The location is stunning - we were surrounded by vineyards and overlooking a beautiful lake. The closest supermarket was a short drive and is very well stocked and this was a good base for exploring the region and for doing some great wine tasting too! A great holiday and we will be recommending it to friends.

A Magical Week at Fongrive
We felt completely at home as soon as we arrived. A beautiful house in a magnificent setting, it was all we hoped for and more. No need to pack a bottle opener or a travel plug...it's all there to the last detail. Cleanliness was impeccable but we were able to throw our bags down and relax immediately.

Local towns full of history and interest. We particularly loved Eymet and the Pizzeria! Check out Sigoules - a good size Carrefour and Friday evening is a buzz.

We hope to return to explore even more next time.

Rooms with views
Although we knew the sleeping capacity of Fongrive Haut, we did not expect it to be so spacious, with bedrooms being far enough apart to ensure privacy. With three generations from three family groups, we found the accommodation surpassed expectation for comfort and equipment. The owners have thoughtfully provided everything you could want for fair weather or foul. The views are magnificent and the peace very therapeutic. With Sigoules and all its amenities only a few minutes' drive away, it is perfectly situated. The weather (mid June to early July) was magnificent, and even the odd thunderstorm did nothing but provide a wonderful light show! I would thoroughly recommend this property to any large party.
