Domaine de Cournet-Haut, set in the picturesque Dordogne Valley, is a 17th century lodge set on 13 acres of beautiful lush gardens and bright mature forest. The domain was charmingly restored over 30 years ago by Hélène and Emmanuel Pichon-Varin into a self-catering holiday residence, consisting of 3 traditional stone houses and 6 woodland chalets.
Le Chêne (The Oak Tree) can be found at the edge of the mature forest and is just a short walk from the swimming pool. La Chêne boasts a light open plan living room, dining room and kitchenette (equipped with a two ring hob, multifunction oven/microwave, dishwasher and all the necessary kitchenware) which open out onto a partly covered terrace with barbecuing facilities. Floor to ceiling windows in the dining area (which comfortably seats 4) brings the stunning natural woodland environment up close and all around you. Le Chêne caters for 4 people with one double bedroom, one bunk bedroom and separate bathroom and toilets. The terrace also has a table and seating for 4 outside, there is electrical heating throughout for those cooler months and there is also a TV with DVD player (Free DVD library arriving shortly) and WI-FI (free of charge).
