Set deep in the rolling countryside, Gîte du Rossignol is a peaceful hideaway for cyclists, walkers, equestrians, photographers and artists. Surrounded by open fields and big skies, the property enjoys far-reaching views towards the Pyrenees, creating a wonderfully calm backdrop in every season. The gîte sits beside a 17th-century château built by le Seigneur de Faudoas, offering a sense of history alongside sweeping views of farmland and distant snow-capped peaks. It’s an ideal place to slow down, reconnect with nature and enjoy the quiet rhythm of rural life.
Indoor & Outdoor Living
Mornings begin beautifully on the terrace with a cup of coffee and a croissant, while evenings are perfect for a relaxed sundowner in the hot tub as the light fades over the rolling countryside. Inside, the large, bright kitchen has been thoughtfully designed as a social space—ideal for cooking together, chatting, and making memories. You’ll find everyday essentials in the cupboards, a wine fridge along with a welcome hamper featuring local food and wine.
All the bedrooms are restful and uncluttered; one is located on the ground floor with its own shower room and direct access from the the parking area via the private garden. A double height snug / TV room with bar is often bathed in warm afternoon light streaming through the orangerie style arched window.
Heading upstairs via a stunning bespoke oak staircase leads to a spacious L-shaped living area with exposed beams, warm brickwork, and plenty of windows framing those memorable views. It’s a lovely space for reading, gentle yoga, or simply taking in the scenery. Bathrooms feature mood lighting, excellent rain showers and warm stone tiles, courtesy of the underfloor heating.
Outside, there’s a small lawned area, a private wood-fired hot tub and the teak terrace with BBQ to soak in those views. Guests are also welcome to share the Owners’ 8m round swimming pool.
