Originally constructed around 1636, this sympathetically renovated 3 bedroom Correze farmhouse rental boasts a private courtyard, spacious garden, large heated swimming pool and period features. It is ideally situated in a tranquil rural location just 3km from the pretty market town of Meyssac.
This charming period Limousin farmhouse rental is on 2 floors and can accommodate 7 guests. The property comprises of three bedrooms, 2 on the ground floor sharing a large family bathroom which has both a bath and walk in shower, as well as WC and sink unit. On the ground floor you will also find the utility room with washing machine and dryer. A handmade oak staircase leads up to the first floor where you will find a spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen area. The living area is around the original fireplace with wood burning stove, and is comfortably furnished with large sofa and armchair.
The farmhouse rental features satellite TV, DVD and CD player, as well as a selection of books and games for all ages. The well equipped kitchen has a gas hob and electric oven, a dishwasher and fridge freezer. It also features a convenient breakfast bar while the dining area has seating for 6 guests. The rear of the house is where you will find the third bedroom with twin beds which can easily be transformed to a double, and en-suite shower room with sink and WC.
The well maintained garden above the farmhouse enjoys fantastic views over the countryside, and features a 9 by 4.5 metre heated swimming pool. Both the beautiful pool terrace and the courtyard in front of the house have plenty of garden furniture both for sunbathing, relaxing and al fresco dining. The garden also features a small barn which has been converted into a games room with table tennis table.
When you can bear to leave the house you will find the local area ideally suited for all manner of outdoor activities, such as cycling, fishing, horse riding, walking and water sports. Lascombes farmhouse is just 3 km from the pretty village of Meyssac where you will find 3 bakeries, 2 butchers, a small supermarket, twice weekly market, cafes and restaurants. Just beyond Meyssac is the beautiful Collonges la Rouge.
