6 Bedroom House and pool with Views of the Medieval village of Curemonte, Limousin - Fleuret House

Dating back to 1640, the Manor House at Fleuret has been lovingly restored, retaining many original features, and offers an extremely spacious home for 12 people. Originally a small hamlet, home to several families, the magnificent red sandstone buildings are set in acres of meadow and woodlands. With spectacular views all around us, the most memorable is that of the medieval village of Curemonte directly opposite Fleuret on the other side of the valley. Larger groups can also rent the cottage at Fleuret, giving a total occupancy of 16 people.

First Floor

Fully fitted kitchen/dining-room with gas cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Original beams and fireplace have been revealed, while the back door leads onto the spacious terrace, ideal for outdoor eating. The living room boasts a large “Lou Cantou” open fireplace, exposed beams and stone alcoves.

Comfortably furnished with sofas and armchairs, here you will find a large collection of books and games, television/DVD and DVD library. Adjacent to the living room is a double bedroom with en-suite shower-room and toilet, as well as a small annexe bedroom with single bed.

Second Floor

Comprises of one double bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet, one triple, one twin and one single bedroom. A bathroom with bath and toilet is shared between these three rooms. As on the first floor, exposed beams are found in most of the bedrooms.

Ground floor

An additional bedroom on the ground floor has a seperate outdoor access. With it’s own bathroom with bath, washbasin and toilet, this is the ideal room for grandparents/ au pairs/ extra friends who may like to join you.

Other Facilities

The house has a private terrace with barbecue and large table. The garden includes a children’s play area with swings and a sandpit, situated well away from the pool on the other side of the house.Wi-fi is available in the living areas and the games room. Ample parking for up to 5 cars

Shared facilities

The huge 14 x 7 metre swimming pool is situated next to the barn, the upper floor of which has been converted into a large games room with table tennis, table football and billiard table. Outdoor games include badminton, boules and garden Jenga. The pool and barn are situated away from the houses and are shared by those staying in the house and cottage- fenced off from the rest of the grounds, young children cannot access this area unaccompanied.

A laundry room with two washing machines and a dryer is available for the use of all our guests. The English owners live in the third house on the property, and are happy to help you with any queries you may have during your holiday. For guests renting the whole property who would prefer complete privacy this is possible for a supplement- please contact us.

Location

Fleuret is situated at the end of a small lane 3km from the medieval village of Curemonte,  a real ‘getaway from it all’ location! Curemonte offers a small bar/restaurant, ferme-auberge, post office, shop selling local artisans products, and in the summer a weekly evening market and communal barbecue.
