Spacious Holiday House in Burgundy, France / Moulin de Corde
Moulin de Corde is a quite haven tucked away in the gastronomic centre of France and is a comfortable base from which to discover the delights of the Burgundy region or simply put your feet up, relax and take in the fresh country air.
Nestled against a cliff-face, Moulin de Corde offers serene rural views and overlooks the Lac du Docteur Parisot. Located on the edge of the rural village of Recey-sur-Ource, the mill overlooks farmlets, the forest, a local sporting field and the meandering Ource river.
Amble along the lake's edge to the local swimming pool and recreation facilities, great for picnics, leisurely walks, summer activities and family entertainment. During the height of winter the lake is a beautiful sight as it freezes over, much to the delight the local children.
It is a short 5 minute walk to the Centre de Ville where you will find a well-stocked, and reasonably priced, épicerie (grocery store), boulangerie (bakery), pharmacy, post office and even a couffieur (hairdresser) should you require one. We highly recommend the boulangerie, when we stay we visit daily for the freshest and finest of French fare.
THE ACCOMMODATION - Rejuvenated to include three double bedrooms, a spacious family bathroom, seperate shower room and two powder rooms, Moulin de Corde also offers a spacious lounge and entertainment area with the warmth and atmosphere of a wood fire. The entire building is centrally heated for warmth and its thick stone walls naturally cool for year-round comfort.
A well-appointed kitchen with an adjoining laundry area, leads outside to the enclosed courtyard tucked in against the cliff wall. There is an elevated garden which is a great place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast, lunch or dinner or simply watch the world go by.
A seperate dining room is complemented with a cosy reading nook and an original Bourgogne stone fireplace.
Moulin de Corde is suitable for large families and groups with ample space to relax and unwind or to find a private hideaway.
Set over two levels, Moulin de Corde is suitable for smaller parties of 2 to 4 and can comfortably sleep 6, although up to ten guests can be accommodated. Each bedroom is well furnished and includes a queen-sized bed, all offer rural views.
A double, fold-out sofa bed located in the downstairs lounge sleeps 2.
There are also 2 single fold-out beds available on request.

Moulin de Corde is available year-round for weekly and monthly self-catering holidays and vacation rentals. Prices for week-long stays range from €495 to €595 for peak season.
A holding deposit of €100 for each week is due on booking, with the outstanding amount due 6 weeks prior to your holiday.
In the event of cancellation more than 6 weeks prior to your stay, a full refund, less €50 administration charge, is applicable. Cancellations made less than 6 weeks prior attract a 50% charge unless re-booking is achieved.
For those wishing to stay for extended periods please contact us to discuss long-term rental opportunities.
Towels, bedlinen and teatowels are provided and gas, electricity and water are included in the price. Please bring your own towels for outdoor use.
