Vintage Townhouse in the Heart of Saint Martin De Re - Galathee Reviews

Had a wonderful few days in Galathee. It's in the perfect location (stumbling distance to the harbour's restaurants and bars) and is beautifully decorated. If you get the chance to book this property, do it!

Home from home, but BETTER! Upon entering the courtyard card from the cobbled road you are in oasis of green tranquility. An absolute gem of a house that has been decorated thoughtfully! The kitchen has everything you could wish for. We loved that there were so many places to read, play games and while away the evening reminiscing over our day. I would go back in a heartbeat!

We had a lovely time and really enjoyed staying in such a beautiful house. Must be one of the best locations on the island. The courtyard garden is a real joy and we were able to use the dining table outside for lots of lovely meals. We really appreciated the well designed kitchen and bathrooms and the really comfy beds and we would most certainly recommend it to friends or book again ourselves

Île de Ré was enchanting, and Galathée, a perfect home from home. It was charming, spacious, bright, fully equipped, a mere 2-minute walk from the harbour, an absolute gem. It was sensitively refurbished by the current owners and it retained a lot of its original character. The owners were very nice and responsive, the local French hostess that welcomed us to the property spoke very good English and everything functioned perfectly. Highly recommended!
