Incredibly romantic and very practical Townhouse in the heart of Saint Martin De Ré. The property has been refurbished to an extremely high specification by English Interior Decorator, Karon Foxwell.

Île de Ré is France’s favourite holiday island, that is in season all year round! A 30km-long flat strip of land with photogenic villages, old ports and sandy beaches.
It is small enough to cycle round, or to explore on horseback. This dreamy, golden-hued island can be found only a half-hour drive from La Rochelle.

The house accommodates 4 people in two double bedrooms, two shower rooms and a very large salon. The gorgeous fitted kitchen has all necessary appliances and there is a utility room, entrance lobby and very pretty garden room ready for guests to enjoy those hot summer evenings. For those quiet uninterrupted moments, there is a second floor level with a desk, WIFI, and a wonderful view of the sea. This house is ideally located for exploring the beaches, villages and markets of Île de Ré by bike.
Bike hire is just a 2 minute walk from the house.

Bedrooms
Two large double bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and one with two zip and link single beds which can make one kingsize bed. There is also a cot but please bring your own cot linen.

Bathrooms
There is one shower upstairs with power shower, toilet and handbasin. There is one shower downstairs with power shower, toilet and handbasin.

Living Room
The main salon is a large open plan room with beautiful chandeliers and antique furniture. There is a large sofa, two armchairs, dining table and chairs to seat 4, and a large screen television.

Kitchen
The beautifully fitted kitchen has been completely re-fitted with a Neff oven and microwave. Bosch induction hob, Miele dishwasher and Nespresso machine – please bring your own coffee capsules if required.

Utility Room
The utility room has a Miele washing machine & dryer, iron and ironing board.

Outside
There is a beautiful garden room with original tiled roof that opens directly onto the courtyard. It boasts a dining table and chairs, cushions, vintage lighting everyone to enjoy eating outside. There is also a day bed for those siestas you may take!

Step through the front door, then the lovely courtyard to enter a haven of peace. There’s a big olive tree in a pot, a summerhouse for bikes, a wall in soft green… all fresh and charming in vintage style, mirroring the chic-ness of the town.

Local Area:

The harbour is within 10 minutes walk, where you can find yourself surrounded by gorgeous shops/restaurants and boats.
Sit on one of the benches by the port side for the perfect photo.

Wander through Le Bois Plage’s vast morning market, with stalls selling everything from beach bags and espadrilles to cooking pots and china.

Buy an ice cream and wander the cobbled streets discovering the most beautiful houses or cycle along the many cycle paths.
We love Bistro Marin in the harbour, the food is great the atmosphere vibrant and it has very good service.
