Accommodation

Dating from 1850, this impressive château offers spacious accommodation for up to 18 guests, plus two infants in cots. The elegant reception rooms open onto beautiful terraces overlooking the gardens, mature trees and the River Lot, creating a wonderful setting for large family holidays and special occasions.

The fully equipped kitchen features marble worktops and a traditional Lacanche range cooker, ideal for preparing meals for larger groups. Guests can enjoy both a formal sitting room and a cosy snug, while the magnificent dining hall opens directly onto the gardens and riverside terraces.

Six bedrooms are located on the first floor, with an additional ground-floor bedroom providing easy accessibility. A wheelchair is available free of charge for guests, while a mobility scooter can also be hired if required.

Additional Cottage

A separate self-contained cottage is available for larger groups. Offering two additional king-size bedrooms, it provides extra privacy and is ideal for grandparents, friends, nannies or guests seeking more independence. The cottage is only available as part of a château booking and is never rented separately.

Games Room & Event Space

The former wine storehouse has been converted into a versatile entertainment space featuring a games room, bar area and full-size pool table. This flexible venue is ideal for celebrations, group dining, workshops and themed holidays including yoga retreats, art breaks and wellness weekends.

Outdoor Living

Set within more than six acres of mature grounds, the château enjoys a private and peaceful riverside location. Expansive terraces and the heated swimming pool overlook the River Lot, while approximately 200 metres of river frontage includes a private jetty secured by lockable gates.

The calm waters are perfect for canoeing, rowing, paddleboarding and fishing. Guests have access to both a canoe and fishing boat during their stay.

The pool area is secured by both fencing and an alarm system. Adjacent to the pool is a covered summer kitchen complete with bar, dining area, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, large griddle and paella pan. A spacious dining table comfortably accommodates the entire group, while a gas barbecue makes outdoor entertaining easy.

For those wishing to fully relax, a private chef can also be arranged.

Additional facilities include bicycles, table tennis and extensive outdoor space for recreation and relaxation.

Local Area

The charming village of Fongrave is just a short stroll from the château. Here guests will find a traditional village shop, bakery essentials, post office and church, together with a welcoming restaurant serving authentic regional cuisine.

A local farm shop sits directly opposite the property, while the popular Thursday evening farmers' market brings the village to life throughout the summer months.

Nearby Castelmoron hosts a lively weekly market every Wednesday, and the larger town of Villeneuve-sur-Lot offers a wider range of shops, restaurants and services.

The beautiful riverside town of Bergerac, famous for its historic centre, restaurants and vibrant atmosphere, is approximately 45 minutes away.

Activities within easy reach include golf, canoeing, paddleboarding, tennis and mini-golf, making the château an excellent base for exploring the Lot-et-Garonne region.
