La Clef Decamp comprises 5 independent cottages which are a perfect base camp to discover the Cotentin, Cherbourg, the Hague, the landing beaches, the Channel and the rest of Normandy.
Located 2 min Valognes, 15 min from Ste Mère church, St Vaast la Hougue, Barfleur la Hague.
La Petite Duckerie:
La Petite Duckerie is a lovely romantic house for 2 or 4 people maximum. The property is attatched to another cottage (La Grand Duckerie) and it is possible to rent these two gites together.
It is a semi-detatched cottage but it has its' own private entrance, terrace and private parking. Additionally, it is not overlooked at all. A large trellis separates the two terraces, and the walls and the sound insulation are perfect.
There is free high speed wifi throughout the cottage. It is located Tamerville, on a very quiet little road and just 2 minutes from Valognes (road RN 13 which is the link Cherbourg - Caen).
Valognes is a pretty old town that is called the little Norman Versailles, 15 minutes south of Cherbourg. Close to St Vaast La Hougue Barfleur, Barneville Carteret on the other side and La Hague. Perfect for visiting and walking or cycling. Enjoy morning walks to the village to get fresh bread and enjoy the local food at the Inn "Au coin du feu" which serves traditional cuisine and is open at lunchtime.
Once a workshop, this space has been turned into a luxurious and comfortable cottage, renovated with quality materials (Natural stone on the ground etc) The property is ideally suited for two guests because there is only one bedroom of 40 m2.
La Petite Duckerie boasts a quality kitchen with induction hob, oven, microwave, Senseo coffee machine, blender, kettle, dishwasher, large Liebher fridge ... plus a central island for 4 people with an extension to seat up to 10 guests around the table.There is also a large library with a sofa and beautiful grand piano in working order. There is a pretty spiral wrought iron staircase leading upstairs.
The bedroom with a 160 cm double bed, looks through to the bathroom via glass windows. The bathroom features a large bathtub and wc, there is a mahogany desk in the bedroom, and large chest of drawers offering ample storage space. 127 cm LCD TV in the living room downstairs with Samsung Home Cinema and TV of the same quality in the bedroom facing the bed.
A washing machine and dryer are provided. Outside there is a south-facing private terrace: garden table, 4 comfortable chairs, 1 garden furniture, 2 sun loungers and 1 Weber charcoal grill. There is also a second garden behind the house.
The view of the house overlooks a pasture with cows or sheep.
The relaxation area is open 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. This room is shared with other guests staying at La Clef Decamp, however it is possible to book private slots if you wish.
The SPA (Jacuzzi high-end 6 people) is covered by a pretty glass roof where it is very pleasant to bathe, protected from the rain overlooking the garden and the terrace.
There is a walk-in shower, relaxation benches, a massage chair, a stereo, soothing light and an infrared Sauna for for 4 people.

The property is 1 hour from Caen and 3:30 from Paris.It is very well placed because it's close to major and central roads.
Tamerville is 15 minutes from the sea and the beautiful landing beaches. 15 minutes from St Vaast la Hougue (Tatihou island, Vauban towers: Unesco world heritage, Gosselin delicatessen), 20 minutes from the port of Barfleur (elected 3rd most beautiful village in France), enjoy yachting at Quinéville.
You will find many shops in Valognes, as well as the market on Friday morning. You can organize trips to the area including: the regional cider museum and the Museum of Eau de Vie and Old Trades, the Cinema, the Animal Park in Montaigu la Brisette, the Cherbourg Sea City, the Cotentin peninsula golf, tree climbing Forest Adventure, La Maison des Marais, Stables de la Gare for a horseback ride, etc.
To do within 20 min: Kayak in the bay of Cherbourg, visit the City of the sea or to visit the 2nd highest lighthouse of Europe in Gatteville-le-Phare. Local market, flea market, hike in the Hague, there are three coasts to visit. The cottages are located in a very quiet road 2 minutes by car and 20 minutes walk from Valognes where there are 4 supermarkets. This city is old and very beautiful.

This friendly family house is 2 minutes from Valognes formerly called the little Versailles Normand because it is full of history and magnificent mansions. We can all find traditional market every Friday morning, cinema, 3 supermarkets, tourist office, Cider Museum, Hotel Beaumont to visit many restaurants and shops). Several museums to visit nearby including those of Holy Mother Church and its landing 10 minutes by car. There is also a large animal park in Montaigu Brisette the children or the museum in search of lost time and historical castle Bricquebec.
