What a perfect place to celebrate a very special birthday with all the family! Chateau du Rayet provides everything in abundance with spacious rooms and excellent facilities. You can also arrange a private chef (Ruth was amazing) and yoga (Katy also amazing). There is a swimming pool, games room, pool table - in fact everything for every age. We made some wonderful memories - thank you Chateau du Rayet!

We had a wonderful stay at Chateau du Rayet. As three families (7 adults and 6 kids) the house was the perfect size - lots of space for everyone, and the older kids loved getting to stay in the atelier as their own space. They also loved the freedom around the grounds, the games room and of course the pool. The house is beautifully refurbished and very comfortable and well equipped. The owners and Luc, the housekeeper, were super helpful and provided loads of information about the local area. The house feels private and secluded but is also walking distance to Villereal, which has lots going on in the summer.

Had the most wonderful time despite the weather, which didn’t matter as there was so much to do. The chateau was absolutely beautiful, the interiors were stunning and the vision of the owners is quite spectacular. The chateau was well equipped with everything you need. A fabulous place for a special occasion or spending time with the family, which is exactly what we did 🤗

We had the pleasure of staying at Château du Rayet in summer 2025. The place is stunning and the perfect escape for multiple families or large groups. The house, pool and grounds had recently been refurbished to an incredibly high standard. It was simply stunning; an architectural gem in its original form that had been exquisitely polished as part of its renovation works. The surrounding area is beautiful and the local town of Villeréal, which is a short cycle ride away, is excellent with some superb dining options as well as satisfying the daily caffeine or ice cream fix with some great cafes and ice cream shops. There are lots of supermarket options on the doorstep so you’ll never be short. Albeit that the pool will be the primary place for everyone to hang out, there are lots of other activities to keep everyone, kids and adults, fully entertained and we made full use of the ping pong table, pool table, fussball table, darts board and even the poker set. Can’t wait to return.
