Nestled along a quiet country lane and surrounded by rolling fields and woodland, Malbernat is an ancient farmstead thoughtfully converted into four charming holiday cottages. Many original features have been carefully preserved, creating a unique blend of rural heritage and modern comfort.
The estate comprises Lavender, a spacious farmhouse sleeping 8; Sunflower, a detached cottage sleeping 6; and two further cottages — Wisteria (sleeping 5) and Poppy (sleeping 4). Together, the four properties welcome up to 23 guests, making Malbernat ideal for extended families, retreats and group gatherings.
Each cottage offers generous, well‑equipped accommodation arranged around a private courtyard. This layout encourages groups to come together while still providing quiet corners and private terraces for peaceful moments. The surrounding gardens are planted with apple, plum, kiwi, hazelnut and walnut trees, adding to the sense of rural abundance.
Malbernat is rich in wildlife. Guests often spot red squirrels, deer, bats, lizards and a wide variety of birds — including birds of prey. With warm, clear nights and minimal light pollution, the star‑filled skies are spectacular, offering unforgettable views of the constellations.
A large 11m x 5m swimming pool, surrounded by sun loungers and parasols, provides plenty of space for guests to relax. The marquee, overlooking the countryside, offers seating for up to 30 guests to dine together. The expansive lawn is perfect for outdoor games such as football, badminton, rounders and boules. Children enjoy the swings and full‑sized table tennis table, while the courtyard provides a safe, calm place to play.
A central games room features a pool table, children’s toys, books, board games and more. Each property has its own terrace with patio furniture and a barbecue, making outdoor dining and relaxed evenings a natural part of life at Malbernat.
