Fantastic family holiday.
With so much to occupy them the children and grandchildren were kept busy all the time whether it was playing boules, cards, croquet, swimming or doing so many of the other activities available at Le Moulin. We all had a great time. Such a great area with lots of historic places to explore. Highly recommended.
What a find!
What to say! We have been renting houses in France for over 40 years and Christopher and Arabella’s second home ticks all the boxes. For more than 20 years they have been renovating and improving this farmhouse on a hill with 360 degree views of the beautiful unspoilt countryside. Of course, the outside areas are were you spend your time and the heated pool, the children’s area and above all the spacious “Hanger”, with dining tables, loads of easy chairs, table tennis and two barbecues make for a very relaxing holiday. The six bedrooms and five bathrooms are ideal for larger groups including one of each in the Moulin. The spacious house provides comfort and is a home, not a holiday house. We have visited the larger towns of Castelnaudery and Carcassonne in previous years so this time we only drove to Mirepoix (on Monday Market Day, - loads of Brits!), the local lake and Villefranche de Lauragais. The draw of living in Le Moulin constantly encouraged us back and it is where we spent most of our holiday. Back in England, Christopher and Arabella are extremely accessible and helpful if needed and returned the security deposit within 24 hours. Thank you to you both from the Mustys and the Charbonniers for a wonderful week.
An idyllic family holiday in an unspoilt part of France
We spent an incredible two weeks staying at Le Moulin with our family and some friends. Everything about the house was set up perfectly for families and for entertaining. Our kids were in and out of the swimming pool all through the day with breaks to play table tennis, jump on the trampoline or play on the giant chess set. Meanwhile cooking was made easy by the two kitchens with everything you would need and the lovely village just a short drive away. Despite being in a wonderfully rural location there is so much to do within a short drive and we visited lots of castles, lakes, medieval cities and lovely restaurants. Sitting in the evening watching the sun set over the mountains in the distance is an amazing way to finish the day. Highly recommend
My family and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Le Moulin. The house is stunning and has incredible panoramic views all around. The sunsets are incredible. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, taking lovely walks through the countryside and visiting the nearby markets in Villefranche-de-Lauragais and Mirepox. Its a perfect position to visit Toulouse, Carcassonne, Castelnaudary and even up into the Pyrenees. We would highly recommend it!
