La Souqueto is a Maison de Maître located in the centre of a thriving Medieval village of Mirepeisset in the Aude department of Occitanie, South France.
The house has been completely restored over the past 8 years and is run as an award winning Chambre d'hôtes during the summer season.
It offers accommodation for up to 10 in four en-suite rooms over three floors. On the top floor of the house sits an Apartment with sun terrace and kitchen.
The house is available available for Winter let from October through to May, starting January 22.
Mirepeisset is ideally placed for exploring the Occitanie region of France (previously known as Languedoc). The house is situated amongst vineyards and a stones throw from the beautiful river Cesse. The Canal du Midi is a short walk away along an avenue of Plain trees. One can explore, by bike, from our back door the 10 villages that sit on the banks of the Canal.
Not only is there an abundance of small family owned Domains that welcome visitors for wine tasting, there are many great quality local restaurants open throughout the year.
Whether one is looking for an easy walk in the foothills of the Mountain Noire or along The Mediterranean coast or a hike in the Pyrenees, spectacular scenery and views are guaranteed. And, from December the ski resorts of the Pyrenees are open.
The Cities of Narbonne and Béziers are less than half an hour from Mirepeisset, while Toulouse, Montpellier, Nîmes and Arles are under two hours away. Giro a and Barcelona are less than three hours away.
