At high altitude La Plagne is one of the most famous resorts in the world. It offers a wide variety of great skiing, from charming tree-lined runs to skiing above the clouds on the Bellecote glacier. There are 425km of piste, shared between La Plagne and Les Arcs, linked by the Vanoise Express cable car.
'You can ski over to Les Arcs via the Vanoise Cable Car .
I would estimate that from my apartment , it would take a proficient skier 1 Hour 15 minutes to be in Les Arcs as long as you know the way ' !

An absolute dream for intermediates. From exhilarating motorway skiing to quiet powder runs in the trees, La Plagne has it all! Try the long run down to Champagny from La Grande Rochette or discover the fabulous skiing on the Glacier de Bellecôte.
Advanced
Expert skiers will relish this superb area. Try the glorious powder between the trees down to Les Coches, or attempt the dramatic near vertical 2000m drop off the north face of the Bellecôte glacier, for 15kms of skiing (with a mountain guide) or try the breathtaking 7km Aiguille Rouge in Les Arcs.

Bob Raft for family of 4
Ride in complete safety with friends or family. This bob has an automatic braking system, reaching speeds of up to 80km/hr. Each raft will fit 4 passengers, and there is no driver. Children under 14yrs must be accompanied by an adult.
Mono Bob
A solo ride - fly down the track at 90km/hr in a semi-horizontal position. Min. age 16yrs.
Taxi Bob
Built like the bobsleigh used for competitions reaching speeds of up to 100km/hr. Each bob will fit 3 passengers and is driven by a professional driver (not suitable for people with heart conditions or pregnant women).

The apartment is situated in Crete Cote Village just below Plagne 1800 .It will take 5 minutes to drive to Plagne 1800 , or It is a 10 minute walk to Plagne 1800 where you can join the free navette to take you all round resort . Or you can ski down a narrow road/path 300 m to join the red run to the La Roche chairlift ( ski out) . It is possible to ski back down a narrow path from Plagne 1800 ( Ski in ) . Both routes only for intermediate and above skiers not for beginners.
Oygene ski school will provide free transport to and from apartment if you book lessons with them

About me
I live in London, England with my wife and 2 children aged 18 and 16. My wife and I both work, but spend most of our holidays in France we have made many friends and have really fallen in love with the country.

We love La Plagne as it an excellent comprehensive ski resort with fantastic ski runs . The scenery is great with brilliant views . Now it is also joined to Les Arcs. Resulting in a huge Ski Area. In order to improve my skiing I have now qualified as a Ski Instructor BASI 1 so now teach wife and kids as well.
