Set amongst the beautiful countryside of La Haute Escalles, La Petite Maison is a spacious, detached 19th-century family home offering comfortable accommodation for 8–10 guests, just a short distance from the sea and the spectacular Cap Blanc-Nez.
Fully renovated and insulated while retaining its traditional character, this attractive 140 m² gîte has been furnished in a charming Shabby Chic style and provides plenty of space for families or groups of friends wishing to discover the Opal Coast.
Surrounded by approximately 1,500 m² of gardens and green space, the property enjoys a peaceful setting amongst meadows, fields and heathland, yet is only 800 metres from the centre of the village of Escalles.
It is the perfect combination of countryside and coast.
Accommodation
La Petite Maison has four comfortable bedrooms arranged over two floors, with flexible accommodation for up to 10 guests.
One bedroom is situated on the ground floor, with the remaining three upstairs. Two bedrooms accommodate two guests each, while two larger bedrooms can accommodate up to three guests each.
The house also provides two bathrooms and two toilets, making it particularly convenient for larger families and groups.
At the heart of the property is a spacious open-plan kitchen and living area, centred around a traditional fireplace with insert. It provides a welcoming place to gather for meals, relax together or enjoy cosy evenings after a day exploring the coast.
The well-equipped kitchen includes everything required for a comfortable self-catering stay, while household facilities include a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Hairdryers are also provided.
Free Wi-Fi is available via a 4G connection.
Gardens & Outdoor Living
The house is surrounded by approximately 1,500 m² of attractive grounds, featuring mature trees, flowerbeds and lawns.
During the warmer months, garden furniture and a barbecue are provided, making it easy to enjoy meals and long summer evenings outside.
A private enclosed courtyard and secure private parking provide additional convenience.
The property's barn offers useful storage for bicycles, windsurfing equipment and kites, making La Petite Maison particularly suitable for guests coming to enjoy the many outdoor activities available along the Opal Coast.
For entertainment at home, the barn also has table tennis and table football.

The surrounding Deux-Caps landscape, encompassing Cap Blanc-Nez and Cap Gris-Nez, is renowned for its dramatic chalk cliffs, beaches and panoramic views across the Strait of Dover. On clear days, the English coastline can be seen across the Channel.
The area is particularly popular with walkers and nature lovers, with numerous GR hiking routes passing through the surrounding fields, heathland and coastline. The beach is around 15 minutes away on foot.
Nearby Wissant, approximately 5 km away, is popular for its sandy beach and watersports, particularly kitesurfing and windsurfing.

Special Rental Conditions
- €900 / week from Oct. to end of March (water and gas included. Heating to be paid by the tenant), and €1000 / week, from end of March to end of Sept. (charges included).
- €500 / weekend (charges included), from Friday to Sunday 6pm, or Saturday to Monday, excluding holidays only.
- If 1 day more, €150.
- Tourist tax, €1.60/night/adult, in addition.
- €200 deposit to be paid upon arrival.
Terms
- During school holidays, bookings are by the week. For bookings of 2 weeks, a discount of €100 is offered.
- Weekend bookings (2 nights) only outside of holidays (from Friday 5pm to Sunday 6-7pm).
- No arrivals or departures on public holidays.
- No arrivals on Sunday.
- The house must be left clean and tidy, otherwise request cleaning.
Warning! Gîte is not a bed and breakfast.
- Cleaning on request €80 (Possible on weekends. Difficult in July-August). Contact us.
- Bring your own personal linen (sheets, towels, table and kitchen linen).
