We were 3 families that travelled from Norway and spent 1 week in Cassis from July 16th-July 23rd. The house we rented was great and the owners were really nice, very accommodating. The outside area had a nice big pool and the terraced area was very spacious, completely private from the neighbours, plenty of sunshine all day. There were 2 kitchens, 1 downstairs by the pool which we used tostore drinks/fruit and a large modern kitchen upstairs which we used to prepare meals and sit together.

The house was very spacious, in good condition and clean, very charming due to sections of it being built at different times, lots of foliage making it quite picturesque as well as providing shade from the sun. The house is large and one family can easily escape from the other if necessary. The main kitchen upstairs was great, well equipped with all the necessary utensils and tools. When we did not eat at one of the restaurants in Cassis we used the barbeque on the balcony and it worked well. The seating and dining areas were well setup, one big table for the adults and another big table for children. The view from the balcony upstairs is just wonderful, we enjoyed this every evening.

The sleeping arrangements were fine, good sized double beds, sheets were provided although no duvets provided...not needed anyway due to the warm weather. Blankets were there if we needed them but did not use them. Sleeping occasionally was difficult due to the hot nights, one of the rooms had air-conditioning, the rest were equipped with fans.

There are good running/walking/trekking trails nearby. We took early morning jogging trips in the national park which is 1 minute from the house. Do this early morning before it gets too hot.

The location is perfect, a lovely quiet area overlooking the sea, only 10 minutes walk into the port of Cassis (15-20 mins back up the hill!). We ventured into Cassis for lunch and dinner on a number of occasions, the walk was no problem even for the children...although stopping for an ice-cream along the way helped :). We took a boat trip to the Calanques, well worth a trip. We also visited the market, a thoroughly enjoyable experience, fantastic for food, a very nice atmosphere there. The atmosphere in Cassis is fabulous, so many good restaurants to choose from.

Overall a great stay, we all agreed that one week was definitely too short, it went by too quickly, next time it should be for two weeks. We highly recommend this house and location.

This is our second time spending a week at Pascal's beautiful villa near Cassis. The villa is ideal with a WONDERFUL pool and it is totally set up for BBQ and cooking. Unlike many villas, the refrigerator works well and gets very cold!

We walk to the center of Cassis or drive and park in the parking just 100m from town. We walk to Bestouan Beach and swim. There is a great restaurant there on the beach too. We walk to the trail to the Callanques. It has just been 2 perfect times at her lovely villa.

We recently returned from our enjoyable stay in Cassis. The house was clean, quiet, secure, and had an incredible view of the Port Miou Calanaque, as well as Cap Canaille.

We were an extended family of 9 people, and there was plenty of room, with 4 bedrooms in the main house, 1 bedroom in the casita, and 3 single beds in what we would call a bunkie. All bedrooms had well functioning air conditioning units.

There are 4 bathrooms, 2 in the main house, one with modern shower, the other with a retro-fitted shower nozzle in a tub. The bathroom in the casita was large and modern, and there was the "pool bathroom", with a large modern shower and an incredible view of towards the limestone cliffs of the Calanques park.

Also, there are two washing machines, and 3 refrigerators on the property.

The garden, terrace, and pool area are all beautiful, and have lots of loungers as well as umbrellas, and awnings to provide shade when needed.

The house is about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach at Bestouan, ~40 minute walk to the Calanque Port Pin , and 20-25 minute walk to town. It is worth noting that the driveway is extremely steep, and the area is very hilly. For anyone with mobility issues, as is the case with my mother, taxis and a tuk-tuk service are easily accessible for rides into town. (They speak excellent English.)

Last, but not least, communication with Laurence and Rémi was excellent leading up to our stay. Upon arrival, they provided an excellent overview of the house. Also, the housekeeper, Rosaline, was very helpful, and provided a Croissant/bread delivery service, when requested.

Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend Laurence and Rémi's house. Cassis is a lovely place to visit, with lots of local interests, as well as many interesting places to see within a hour to two hour drive - a great base for exploring Provence!

Our stay at the Villa was amazing. The views are fantastic. The pool area has plenty of shade and grass to play in. The house has room for tons of people and each bedroom has air conditioning. The living area was great - we ate every meal outdoor. The walk to the beach is about 10 min, and 5 min further into town. Easy access to hiking in the calanques. The host was incredibly helpful with making reservations, coordinating pastry dropoff and was very accommodating to whatever we needed. Highly recommend!
