Tavereau - 5 Bedroom House Near by The River in Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, Gironde Reviews

ADAM & JAMES (Kent) – My family and some friends stayed at Tarereau for a long weekend and had a fantastic time. The house itself is absolutely stunning with beautiful interiors and the courtyard is a wonderful place to relax in the day by the pool, or for an evening BBQ. The rooms are huge and perfect for larger groups of people or those who like lots of space. The house is a great base to explore the South of France but also a very short walk to the local cafes and amenities in the heart of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande. Special mention to the very cool ‘pub room’ situated on the ground floor of the house which has a bar and a pool table and decorated with historic theatre posters! We highly recommend this house for a holiday or a weekend break, it is perfect!

Some of our wedding guests from England and America, stayed for the week at your beautiful Manor House, from the sumptuous high quality bedding to the extensive facilities throughout. Our guests also really enjoyed the location, only 5 minutes walk to the historic square, with a delightful Boulanger and patisserie, pizzeria, bars and shops to browse. Thank you once again for looking after our guests 10/10

JACK (Ireland) – My partner and I spent a week at Tavereau last summer and were totally enchanted by the house, the town, and the region. Situated in the centre of St Foy La Grande, Tavereau couldn’t be more conveniently located, making travelling without a car (as we did) incredibly easy. Yet once you pass through its gates into the beautiful courtyard garden, you’re transported to a peaceful sanctuary that feels far removed from the town. The house is very well appointed, with a particularly well-equipped kitchen. We loved shopping at the local markets during the day and cooking at home in the evenings. The pool was a fantastic bonus, especially in the summer months, as was the gym to work off all that delicious local cheese and wine. Thank you for providing the perfect backdrop for a magical and memorable holiday – we can’t wait to return.

THE TYRRELLS (Whitstable) – “Tavereau is a well appointed, comfortable, luxurious property in a private courtyard setting. Centrally located close to shops, restaurants and the weekly market. A perfect base for exploring the area. We have rented the property three times, with friends, and every time has been a very enjoyable stay. Cannot recommend it more highly”.

HILARY (Glasgow) – “I have had the great pleasure of visiting this wonderful home on a few occasions and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a quiet, luxurious, spacious retreat in the middle of a small yet bustling rural French town. Meals with friends around the beautiful kitchen table or dining alfresco, make delicious memories to take home. Also, it’s a wonderful base from where to explore the Gironde/Dordogne region”.

KEVIN (Greenwich) – We stayed at Mike’s beautiful townhouse for a week of relaxation, wandering around the town centre and enjoying dinners outdoors. The house is stunning and has everything you need for comfort, relaxation, and fun. We especially loved the pool and terrace — perfect for unwinding. We’ll definitely be back.

JAC & SARAH (Norwich) – Centrally located for the market and shops This glorious accommodation is elegantly furnished with a modern kitchen diner. Copious amounts of bedrooms with modern bathrooms. We absolutely loved the wonderful courtyard with it’s beautiful pool. Watching the swallows and swifts from our bed in the morning was a real treat. It is a short walk to the river and the town centre with all the amenities you would need, a must is the fabulous boulangerie. The Saturday market is amongst the best we have ever been to attracting many locals as well as visitors. Although this house is centrally located it is very peaceful and private.

HEATHER (Midlands) – 5 adults stayed at this lovely spacious house which is exceptionally well furnished and equipped bedrooms are en-suite very spacious dining kitchen has everything you need and more sitting rooms a bar games room orangery utility and a private courtyard garden with a swimming pool. Owner Mike made everyone welcome and we all enjoyed our visit.

BRENDON & CHERYL (Nottingham) – We stayed at the beautiful Tavereau French home .We could walk into the town enjoyed restaurants and shops.This house was beyond our expectations so tastefully furnished and an amazing large kitchen for socialising. Bedrooms with ensuite we particularly loved the attic bedroom with a four poster and the outside pool. We will definitely be staying again.
