Normandy is a fascinating region with a great blend of coastal and inland culture. It is full of historical treasures and outstanding sites as well as fantastic golf courses, sports activities and horse riding tours in beautiful extensive countryside.
Within the extensive woodland gardens each cottage has its own private area and they are peaceful and tranquil to walk through, safe for children and ideal for dogs.

The cottages are easily accessible by car through the eurotunnel, by ferry using the ports of Caen, St Malo, Cherbourg or Le Havre with DISCOUNT OF 20% ON FARES FOR GUESTS USING BRITTANY FERRIES and by air with the airport at Dinard.
The Olives cottage is a four bedroomed gite which sleeps 12 persons. The cottage is stone built part of a Normandy Longhouse. On the ground floor there is a large open plan lounge with ample seating, TV with French television channels, wifi and extra table for 4. Leading off the lounge is a large dining kitchen with large table to seat 8 together with modern units, housing electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dish-washer and kitchen utensils. There is a downstairs walk in shower and wc.
On the first floor there is a large family bedroom with double bed, single bed and travel cot. The second bedroom has a pair of bunk beds and a single bed. The bathroom consists of wc, basin and shower cubicle. On the top floor are a further two family rooms with a double and single bed in each. The bathroom has a shower cubilce, hand basin and wc.
Outside the Olives cottage has a BBQ, garden table and chairs together with sun loungers. There is ample space for 3 cars and by prior arrangement further parking can be made available. THE ABOVE GROUND PRIVATE POOL IS OPEN JULY AND AUGUST
Guest access
Guests have complete access to the Olives cottage on their own. The whole house is for rent. Guests up to the total of 12 may stay or 2 people may stay.
Other things to note
The cottage is self catering and all electric and wood for the wood burning stove is included.
Bedding is provided for weekend guests but during the High season July and August guests provide their own bedding and towels..
A dishwasher will be available for April.
Neighbourhood highlights
The Olives cottage is set in a rural setting with dairy farms and apple orchards in the immediate area. The cottage is extremely quiet and tranquil set in mature gardens and wooded area.

The cottage is near to small village Le Teilleul, 5 mins by car. Within the village are bars, cafes, butchers, bakeries, and a supermarket.

Deep in the heart of rural Normandy we are surrounded by a fantastic range of outdoor activities such as walking, fishing, golf, cycling, canoeing and horse riding and interesting places to visit. The area is famous for its cider, calvados and cheese and has an abundance of orchards, stunning meadows and picturesque scenery. Normandy was also the site of some of the fiercest world war II battles with the D-Day landings happening on the Normandy beaches and there is much here of historical interest.
