Overlooking vineyards, Les Bouysses is on the edge of Duravel, a small town about midway between Cahors and Villeneuve Sur Lot. It sits at the end of a cul de sac off a quiet no through road that leads down to the river. 
Duravel is on the road between Villeneuve Sur Lot and Cahors which runs along the Lot valley, and is an excellent location to explore the countryside. 

With views across fields and vineyards, it is extremely peaceful, and a quiet break is assured. 

ACCOMMODATION
Entering through the gates there is a large gravelled courtyard area with ample space for parking and games such as boules or badminton

Entering the front door, you are in the DINING ROOM (not currently pictured) with large dining table, seating 6 comfortably.  There is a wood burner. 

Off the Dining room is access to the 1st floor Master Suite, the Kitchen and the Sitting room. 

The well equipped modern KITCHEN includes oven, hob, microwave and a good selection of appliances and equipment. This kitchen is all electric, but in the adjacent CONSERVATORY there is a second kitchen with gas hob, fridge and workspace.  The Conservatory overlooks the pool, and sliding doors open directly onto the pool terrace. 


In the SITTING ROOM  is the Television and comfortable seating arranged around the woodburner, and there is also a desk for anyone requiring to work. A door opens onto the courtyard.

There are TWO DOUBLE BEDROOMS on separate mezzanines above the Sitting Rooms with blinds and screens. One of these has a supplementary single bed to offer some flexibility with accommodation. 

The DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM and also a separate WC are between the Sitting Room and the Dining Room. 

Stairs up from the Dining Room lead to the MASTER BEDROOM SUITE, with double bedroom, including TV, en suite bathroom with shower and wc and a walk in Wardrobe/ Dressing room


OUTSIDE
The main feature outside is the 8 x 4m pool with integrated steps for easy entry, and a hard cover for security. The pool is only a couple of steps from the Conservatory, meaning that parents can supervise from the shade with ease. 
There is a lawned area for games, or there is ample space on the courtyard in front of the house for badminton, boules or other activities. 
A large built in barbecue  is on the side of the courtyard, and there is also a gas plancha for cooking. 
A small terrace outside the kitchen window is a morning suntrap, and a great place to start the day with the freshest of bread from the baker which is within walking distance.

Internet is quite good here: The Owner reports no problems watching Netflix, Prime etc.

Local Attractions

Les Buoysses is on a quiet cul de sac that leads down to the River Lot about 800m away, but about half way along there you will meet the Vallée du Lot cycle route that runs along the Lot valley, formerly the Fumel to Cahors railway line.

For more testing cycling or walking immediately north of Duravel the landscape rises into the chestnut covered hills of the southernmost Périgord and Bouriane, or across the river and over the ridge is the beautiful rolling countryside of the Quercy Blanc around Tournon d'Agenais and Montaigu de Quercy.

The hills to the north of Duravel are castle country, with Bonagiul, Biron, Gauvadun and Fumel the most impressive: All are open to visitors. There are also attractive and interesting towns all around - Monpazier was the set for the 2021 movie 'The Last Duel' and the list of interesting towns and villages is long: Each have their own character, and of course a weekly market where the freshest of local produce can be bought: Prayssac on a Friday is noted for the quality of its food, wheras just about anything will be found at the large street market in Monsempron Libos on a Thursday.

Overlooking vineyards means wine is not far away, and Le Clos du Chene is only a short walk away among a wide selection of other wineries in the area.

Duravel is well situated on the road between Cahors and Villeneuve sur Lot, and also has a road to the south across the river and into the rolling beautiful countryside of the Quercy Blanc, so there is plenty to explore.

Duravel has all that is needed for day to day living, but there is a large supermarket at Montayral, about 6km away or a smaller supermarket at Puy l'Eveque, about 4km away.

Guests should leave the property in the same state of cleanliness as when they arrived, so there is no mandatory cleaning charge. If Guests require cleaning at the end of their stay this can be done by quotation.

Pets can be accommodated with Owners consent - please supply details of your pet when booking.

Smoking is not permitted in the house.

A heating supplement of €150 / week will apply between October and April.
