Chateau de la Couronne, an enchanting fairytale chateau, is nestled in the scenic French countryside on the border of Charente and Dordogne. The estate provides a range of accommodations, including nine luxurious bedrooms in the chateau for up to 24 guests and seven additional bedrooms for 14 more guests (available upon request at an extra cost)
 
The chateau is available for self-catering, and you can personalize your holiday with a range of add-on options. From family-friendly barbecues and stargazing with bubbly to pizza and Prosecco nights or private garden yoga classes, there's no shortage of activities to enjoy. For those seeking adventure or days out, there are many activities nearby such as kayaking a made made beach, tour du France cycling route or a stroll through the picturesque villages and picnics by the rivers. 
 
Nearby Amenities 
Just 20 minutes from the bustling little city of Angouleme, Marthon is two hours drive from Bordeaux, and only 2hrs 15mins by TGV from Paris.  Marthon has a tabac, bakery, butcher, pharmacy, pizzeria, cinema and a doctor - a living, working village that has retained its community feel. With numerous restaurants within a short drive of the chateau, and countless acres of unspoiled French countryside.
 
Interior Details
Hired on an exclusive bases, The chateau features the grand banquet hall which opens up onto the courtyard, as does the lounge bar which is open during evening meals  upon request. With many salons such to lounge or socialise in, such as the media room with Netflix entrainment, billiard room with slate-bed US pool table, drawing room with french doors leading onto the terrace, you won’t be short of space. 
 
The Chateau offers nine recently decorated bedrooms and eight bathrooms, all with hairdryers, Nespresso coffee machines, luxury bathing products by Penhaligon’s, plush towels for both bath and pool. All rooms have WiFi and air-conditioning or fans. The laundry room with several washers and dryers are available for guest use.

The Coach House is a quirky yet luxury apartment overlooking the courtyard and the grandest of the Chateau. The kitchen has an American fridge/freezer, double oven and all cooking appliances provided. Leading on is the lounge complimented with a wood burner (for those cosy winter nights!) and a smart TV.

The Garden Suite steps out into the rear chateau gardens where you can lounge on the terrace. Inside boasts a large log burner, seating and dining area. The Garden suite offers a wet room and disabled access.
