Welcome to our beautifully renovated farmhouse in a peaceful rural village near Luzech, Castlefranc, Prayssac and it's only a 20 minute car journey to the town of Cahors with it's famous medieval bridge.  Set on a hill, the views are beautiful, overlooking vineyards and in close proximity to the River Lot where you can fish or enjoy a swim from the nearby beach at Casterfranc. Sitting on the beautiful terrace in the evening drinking wine from a local vineyars, listening to the owls and looking at the stars is wonderful.  Behind the house is a fabulous walk up to the top of the Causse through oak woods, where views over the river Lot are spectacular.

This superb holiday home has 4 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and can accommodate up to 9 in three double (one superking, two king beds) and one triple room (double bed and single bed). Bedrooms are (downstairs) super-king size and king, both opening onto a beautiful terrace with a large outdoor dining table, chairs and umbrella.  Upstairs are two further bedrooms with King and double plus single beds  The middle floor comprises a large sitting room with sofa, armchair and TV with internet access, a well equipped kitchen, a terrace next to the kitchen with furniture and a further terrace at the back of the house.  There is air conditioning in the living area  and downstairs in the bedroom area.  There are fans in all bedrooms and electric heating via wall radiators.

The house has a 10m x 5m pool with manual cover.  There are two patio areas by the pool, sun loungers and garden furniture with a table for drinks/dining overlooking the pool.  There is lighting in all areas at night for evening dining.

There is a covered area adjacent to the pool housing a ping pong table and darts board.  As the house is on a hillside there is total privacy and tranquility.  

There is a small road up to the house, which can accommodate cars (but unfortunately not camper vans or vans) and a large drive with parking for several cars.  Due to its position up the hill, the house is built on several levels as described with steep staircases and some steep drops in the outdoor spaces.  For this reason, this home is not accessible for guests with limited mobility and is not suitable for small children under 10 years of age. 

Sorry but we do not accept pets please.  As we are on the edge of the hillside Oak forest, we often get deer and other wildlife in the garden behind the house.  It's lovely to look out of the kitchen window and see deer in the garden!

Access to this property is by car from several airports - Limoges (2 hours), Bergerac (1 hour 20 mins), Toulouse (1 hour 30).
Our home is a non smoking house.

No stag or hen parties please.  This is a family home in a relaxed and quiet location.  We bought our home for the spectacular views, the privacy, the pool and terrace areas which we have refurbished and improved,  wildlife, proximity to the Lot and local shops and restaurants (by car).

This property is not accessible for guests with limited mobility or children under 10. All safety is the renters responsibility.

No glasses at the pool area please. There are lots of plastic glasses in the house for use at the pool area.

Our house is on a septic tank, therefore please adhere to the instructions in the bathrooms regarding this.
