Family Villa for 15 with Private Fenced Pool, Hot Tub & Playroom - Walk to Village, 5 Mins to Beaches Reviews

It is difficult to put into words how stunning this home is. It has everything a family might need; comfort, style, space and a great location close to the village, beaches and the many attractions the Vendée region has to offer. We spent many hours in the swimming pool and outdoor living space. Donna and Jay have clearly invested much time and effort in putting together a complete information guide for their guests. They welcomed us wholeheartedly and were available if we had any queries during our stay. We would love to return again and am already looking at availability next year! Thank you both for an unforgettable holiday!

We would highly recommend staying at this beautiful villa, if not for the fantastic multigenerational set-up, then for the kindness of Donna and Jay. Communication was very efficient and easy. As soon as we met Donna, she was warm and welcoming. We were fortunate enough to spend a couple of hours chatting to her and really enjoyed getting to know her as did our kids, whom she was so warm towards. The villa is beautifully maintained with lots of consideration for children and there were extremely thoughtful touches throughout. We would highly recommend this villa and if you can do it at a time when Donna and Jay are staying nearby, so much the better! Thank you for a fabulous stay. We will be back!

Great holiday - two grandparents, two children and partners and five grandchildren between the ages of 9 and 3. Our 5 year old learned from not jumping in the water to swimming a length unaided. She also managed a 13 mile bike road, which for a family of cyclists was a joy. Donna and Jay couldn’t have done more to help. Everything they provided was excellent. The living area and the kitchen made the holiday a breeze for 11 people.

We had a wonderful stay at Jay and Donna’s place! They were very friendly, welcoming and super flexible. Communication was smooth and they really did their best to make ourselves feel like at home. The place is big and very adapted to a family, the kids’ playroom is a banger (our kids absolutely loved the bouncy castle and all the costumes available!). Also, it is really well furnished so you’ll have everything needed to cook and even do a BBQ. We definitely recommend this place.

Donna and Jay are welcoming, considerate, and professional hosts who truly go above and beyond. They oversaw so many thoughtful details that made a tremendous difference in our stay. The home itself is beautiful -open and spacious, with Italian tile floors, many windows and patio doors, and a cozy fireplace that made it feel both elegant and comfortable. The beds and bedrooms were exceptionally comfortable and roomy, and the layout of the house -with ensuite rooms -provided the perfect balance of privacy and downtime for couples and families alike. The living and dining rooms were the great connectors, where everyone naturally gathered to share meals, watch movies, and work on puzzles together. The kitchen was certainly the heart of the home -stocked with every pot, pan, appliance, coffee maker, and teapot imaginable. We enjoyed cooking together daily, and Donna’s attention to detail showed in everything from the quality of the cookware to the abundance of glassware and table settings (enough for forty!). During our stay, it felt like we never had to wash a dish -there was always another beautifully clean set ready to go. We also wished we had our grandchildren along, because Donna has created an incredible children’s playroom on the first floor -complete with a bounce house, dress-up clothes, and plenty of space for fun and imagination. The grounds opened into a beautiful yard and patio, with views of the church spire and stunning sunsets in the evening. The pool and hot tub were the perfect way to end each day. We can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay -Donna and Jay are simply the best.

We visited Beau Rivage with our daughters and their children earlier this year- a party of 12. Our week was memorable in that the villa was spacious, comfortable and very well maintained and our every need ( and that of our grandchildren) was catered for. The swimming pool was a highlight and was safe for young children in that it was enclosed with a lockable gate and the adjacent terrace and private garden made for a very enjoyable stay. A short walk gave access to a very attractive village with regular markets and friendly bars and restaurants. A short walk in the opposite direction gave access to a nature reserve with excellent birdwatching- turtle doves in abundance! There was a longer walk to the beaches (half hour), but 5 minutes by car with free parking as a bonus. The Vendee is great for a family holiday and Beau Rivage was a perfect base for us.

Wonderful stay and house was super nice. We enjoyed the beach trips and had a lot of fun together in the pool and garden. Great memories created. Our host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Wow what a fabulous trip we had to Donna and Jay’s lovely home near the seaside. Their home is lovely and was such a great spot to begin our holiday. Especially happy they had an espresso machine! I would highly recommend a stay in Longeville and their villa. Until next time…

The house is impressively well set up for children with the playroom, stair gates, monitors, lunchboxes, nappy changing table, high chairs etc etc. It also has the best stocked kitchen of any holiday house I’ve been to, which makes a big difference when cooking for large groups!
