Our three-generation American family (ages 12 to 7..

Our three-generation American family (ages 12 to 78) spent the first week of July at this wonderful house. It is the model of what a vacation rental should be: extremely well-equipped and comfortable and well-located in the village but private. Sitting in the large garden near the pool under the olive and fig trees, smelling the lavender and looking up at Seillans’s Romanesque church, is idyllic. Most nights we ate at the long table under the grape arbor, which is enhanced by an excellent large grill. (The one night we ate out was at the splendid La Gloire de Mon Pere, about a minute away.) The kitchen is well-designed, so it was easy for us to work together to prepare meals. The house is nicely decorated with Provencal fabrics and has both a big living room and smaller sitting room, as well as various terraces, so it is easy to be sociable or private. The beds are comfortable. There is an excellent collection of books, videos and games, and the owners have thoughtfully provided a selection of local maps for use while at the house. The caretaker speaks good English and is very nice. Unlike many rentals, staples were left from previous visitors, so we didn’t need to buy things like vinegar and olive oil for our all-too-short stay. There’s a garage, but we never had to use it for any of our three cars because there was always parking at the edge of the boules court across the street. The bakeries and Tabac (with the International New York Times daily) are a five minute walk down into the lovely old town, as is the Bar Charlot, where our grandsons had a great time watching the World Cup with the townspeople. I cannot think of anything that would have further improved the experience.

Everything was perfect. The owner was more then helpful in my renting of the house for the first time. I loved it I have booked it for next year!

We had a really wonderful stay in this gorgeous house in Seillans. Both house and village were even better than we'd expected - and we'd had high hopes. Lots to do and see in the area, fabulous walks in all directions leaving from the village, the boulangerie was a short walk down the hill. Everything worked for our party of 12, aged from 14 to 60 and we had a fabulous stay.

This was the third year we've stayed at this lovely villa and we've already booked 2015. I can't say enough positive things about the villa, its location or the surrounding village of Seillans. We were welcomed as friends from our first visit. The villa is only a few steps away from La Gloire de Mon Pere restaurant -- our favorite spot for lunch or dinner, and is adjacent to the petanque courts where townspeople gather to drink and play a game of the French version of boule. Rooms are spacious and clean, there's wifi, and the pool is ideal after a warm day in the Provencal countryside. There are wineries and olive groves with award-winning oil nearby, and charming market towns for short day trips. Of all the places I've stayed at through the years, this ranks as my favorite -- we can't wait to return.

We were completely smitten, not only by the village of Seillans, the surrounding area, but by the Villa itself. As a group of 13, there could have been any number of different experiences, but ALL agreed, this was a most magical vacation, in an extraordinary area AND housed in a warm, comfortable, French Provincial countryside manor. Andy and his family made us feel welcomed as family from beginning to end. I hope to make this an annual affair! Beth Brewington

This is a fantastic house - especially for big groups - in a wonderful setting. We loved the garden with its many different terraces and corners. The pool was great and a highlight for the children. Every morning we went across the street to pick up delicious fresh bread, croissants and pain au chocolat from the friendly lady at the bakery. Probably the biggest compliment we can give this house is, despite the fact that it is located in an area with an abundance to discover, see and do, it was very difficult to get members of our group out of the house, out of the garden, out of the pool! One last remark: the owner, Andy, was very helpful and accommodating in his communications with us; he created a "good feeling" from the very first email exchange.

Such a beautiful house in the most perfect location. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing week. Avoid travelling to the beaches ... just enjoy the local area. Worth doing a trip to Gore du Verdon though.

We had a delightful holiday in Seillan in May. The villa has true character in a stunning location - you really feel part of the amazing historic village. The house had a remarkable family feel which we enjoyed from the start, and children in particular loved the wide staircases and different levels especially the table football tucked away in the original entrance hall on the lowest level! And of course screams of joy rang from the swimming pool whenever we were home!

I can honestly say that the listing description is accurate, the property was very clean and well maintained, there was brilliant "customer service" - with excellent information made available though an app we could put on the i-phone. I would absolutely recommend this to a friend or to family - and to you as you are reading this!

We had a fabulous family holiday at Les Hirondelles in Seillans for the second year running. It's a beautiful house and a fabulous village and although we did lots of exploring, everyone was always pleased to get 'home' . There is so much that we like about it, but being able to walk to the boulangerie and the bar is terrific as well as being able to take proper walks directly from the house into the hills. We took trips to Mougins, Grasse and closer to home, Callian and Bergemon and our restaurant trip was to La Gloire de mon pere, directly opposite the house and it was delicious and good value. The house is lovely and I highly recommend it.
