Sleep 8 - enjoys a quiet, tranquil and private setting west of Bergerac, near Montpon. The green rolling landscape here is uninterrupted only by woodlands, lovely old farmhouses and medieval towns and villages. The nearest market village is Villefrance de Lonchat, a 5 - 10 minute drive, with its market place, boulangerie, pharmacie, restaurants, hotels and bars. Slightly further away, Montpon offers a larger selection of shops and supermarkets together with a weekly market. Saint Foy La Grande is approximately 20 minutes drive from the house which is a very pretty town.
The accommodation consists of two properties, both dating from the 18th Century. The main house, Le Brandau, and a Cottage or guest accommodation, situated about 25 metres apart. Both properties enjoy complete privacy and are surrounded by lawns, flower beds and farmland. Within the garden is a swimming pool, in a spectacular and picturesque position, with views over the countryside. Although the Cottage or guest accommodation is set within the grounds of the owners' house, it is completely self-contained, with its privacy and own outlook onto its own gardens and fields of sunflowers and corn.
Located 30 minutes from Bergerac airport, 10 mins from A89 and for wine lovers 25 mins from St Emilion. Bicycles, trampoline, table tennis and badminton available at the property. Fabulous restaurants, tennis, golf, riding, canoeing, jet-skiing, roller skating, fishing and a lake with sandy beaches and children's play area are within 20 mins. Something for all ages.
